Instructions for Online Appointment Scheduling Welcome to online scheduling for Allergy appointments at Student Health! Thank you for testing this system for us. The first step is a one-time registration with the system. The website address for online student health is: https://www.healthyhoos.virginia.edu The https is very important as this is a secure website. The web page opens:
To register the first time, click the Register button in the middle of the page. IMPORTANT: This information must match the information in our system. Routinely, the information is downloaded to our system from ISIS so, unless you have asked us to make changes when you were at Student Health, use information that is on file with the Registrar. The E-mail address will be your UVa computing@virginia.edu unless you have asked us to change it. Enter the information and click Submit. If all the information verifies, you will see the following message: [your e-mail @virginia.edu You can then get your password from your e-mail and then click the Log On button to make an appointment (instructions below).
If the information does not match, you will see this message. It will not tell you which piece of information does not match as a protection against hackers. If you try a couple of times and it doesn t work, please call or e-mail Brenda Koonce (4-8213; bmk7u@virginia.edu). This will help us evaluate if the problem is different information or a bug in the program. If you are designated as ineligible in our system, you will see the following message. This means we have you listed as ineligible to use Student Health and would have been asked to see Medical Records if you came to Student Health in person. If this occurs, contact Medical Records (4-1525) to clear up the eligibility issue. Then contact Brenda Koonce (4-8213; bmk7u@virginia.edu) to be sure your record is ready to try registering again. If you forget your password, click the Email me my password button on the first page of the website You will receive an e-mail confirmation of your registration that also provides your password. You will be required to change your password at first login. Passwords do not expire.
Sessions on the website do expire. If you leave the program inactive too long, it will require you to log in again. USING ONLINE STUDENT HEALTH Once you have logged on, you will see the following screen: Note that the contact information we have for you is displayed and may be edited in the following screen by clicking the Edit button.
Click Save Changed or Cancel as appropriate to return to the main menu. If the ID you have on file with the Registrar has changed, you must make this change in person at Student Health. To make an appointment, click Yes from the main menu and see this screen: You may also choose to use Advanced Search by clicking that button.
Both screens operate much the same way; the Advanced screen simply has more parameters to help you narrow your search for an appointment. The default Start Date will be today and the default End Date will be 1 week from today. There is only one clinic (Allergy Appointments) currently available, as there is only one provider (Allergy Clinic) and one appointment reason (Allergy Shot). Please make these choices and click Continue on the Simple screen or choose day or time parameters and the Advanced screen and click Continue. You will see a list of available appointments:
If you do not want to choose any of the appointments listed, click Search Again to be returned to the Simple search screen. If you want to schedule one of the appointments listed, click the circle next to it and click Schedule Appointment. You will see the following screen:
Note the special instructions that will appear for the specific appointment reason you have chosen (see silly example above). You will also receive an e-mail confirmation (best read in a web mail client) that contains the same information. If you go back to the Home screen, you will see the appointment you just made, as well as any other future appointments you have: Every time you logon, you will see any future appointments that you have scheduled in this list. With the current version of the program, you will not see any appointments for today that were before the current time. We have asked that this be changed so that you would see an appointment you might have missed earlier today. You may edit or cancel these appointments from this screen. Click on the circle next to the appointment you want to change and Edit Appointment. It will take you to the Simple screen as above where you can make your new appointment. It then replaces your old appointment on the Home screen. You will receive an e-mail with the new appointment information in it.
To cancel an appointment, click on the circle next to the appointment and click Cancel Appointment. Select a reason for cancellation and click Cancel Appointment. You will see the following screen and receive an e-mail as well: The View all appointments button takes you back to the Home screen. If you have any technical difficulties, please contact Brenda Koonce (4-8213; bmk7u@virginia.edu). If you have questions about your Allergy appointment please call the Allergy Clinic at 982-3915.
