1 Technology Manager Non-Seller Admin Guide Creating and Managing Fannie Mae User IDs As a Technology Manager Administrator, you can use Technology Manager to create and manage users as well as authorize users access to specific Fannie Mae technology applications. Creating new Fannie Mae user IDs includes the following functions: Creating a new user Entering user profile information for the new user Assigning the user to a User Group Selecting the Fannie Mae applications the User is Authorized to Access (i.e., Collateral Underwriter) Assigning user role(s) Assigning the user to data folder(s) You must complete the steps listed above before a user can begin utilizing their new user ID to access Collateral Underwriter. You will need to repeat the entire process separately for each new user ID you create. Once the user IDs are created, there are ongoing user ID management functions that you may need to perform through Technology Manager: Resetting a User Password Deactivating a User ID Reactivating a User ID Guidelines for Non-Seller Technology Manager Administrators At this time (April 2015), Collateral Underwriter (CU ) is the only Fannie Mae Technology Application directly available to Non-Seller Correspondent Lenders through Technology Manager. Additional Fannie Mae Technology applications, even if they are highlighted in examples in this document, are not available to Non-Sellers. Though there are other features within Technology Manager that may be available to the Non- Seller Correspondent Lender Technology Manager Administrator, only the functions listed below should be utilized to create and manage Collateral Underwriter user IDs; Creating a User ID Resetting a User Password Deactivating a User ID Reactivating a User ID 2015 Fannie Mae. 2 Fannie Mae User IDs will automatically expire after 90 days of non-use. Only Technology Manager Corporate Administrators or the Fannie Mae Customer Interaction Center will be able to reactivate user IDs. User IDs cannot be created for users who are not direct employees of the licensed entity s organization. Third party service providers and other entities cannot be provided Fannie Mae User IDs. User IDs can be created only for the domain name of the licensed entity. Personal accounts should not be used for user IDs. Note: The screen shot samples appearing in this document are generic and not specific to the Collateral Underwriter application. Creating a User ID Logging in to Technology Manager To log in to the Technology Manager application, follow the steps below: Step 1. Go to Step 2. The Technology Manager Log In screen appears. Enter the user ID and password you received from Fannie Mae, then click Login. Note: If you need assistance with your User ID or Password, click the Need help with your user ID or password link below the Login button Fannie Mae. Trademarks of Fannie Mae. 3 Create a New User Performed by Corporate Administrators and User Administrators This procedure creates a new user of Fannie Mae Technology applications and assigns the user to a user group. After completing this procedure, you will need to grant the user access to an application. 1. On the Home Page, click the Manage Users link Fannie Mae. Trademarks of Fannie Mae. 6 Grant a User Access to an Application Performed by Corporate Administrators and User Administrators This procedure enables a user access to a specific Fannie Mae Technology application. 1. On the Home Page, click the Manage Users link. 2. The Manage Users screen appears. In the Search, enter the desired search criteria and search value, then click Search Fannie Mae. 7 3. Click the Active Users panel where the user's record was found, then select the user record. 4. Click the Available Applications I Manage panel, then click the application you want to assign to the user. 5. The Set Up User Access screen appears. In the Roles section, select the role(s) you want to assign to the user, then click Add. Note: If the Roles section does not appear on the screen, you can proceed to the next step Fannie Mae. 9 Resetting a User Password Reset a User's Password Performed by Corporate Administrators and User Administrators When a user's password has expired or a user has been locked out of Fannie Mae Technology applications due to inactivity, the user's password needs to be reset. If your organization has chosen to manage users' passwords for a user group or an entire organization, a Corporate Administrator or User Administrator will reset passwords as needed. This procedure changes the password for a user. Note: If passwords for the user group or organization are not managed by an administrator, this procedure does not need to be performed. Instead, end users can change their own passwords. 1. On the Home Page, click the Manage Users link Fannie Mae. Trademarks of Fannie Mae. April 2015 Page 9 of 16

10 2. The Manage Users screen appears. In the Search, enter the desired search criteria and search value, then click Search. 3. Depending on the search you use, multiple users may be found. 11 4. Click the Profile Information panel on the right, then click the Edit User Profile link. 5. The Edit User Profile screen appears. In the Security Information section, click Reset Password. 6. An message is sent to the administrator. Follow the instructions in the message to complete the procedure. Deactivating a User ID Deactivate a User Performed by Corporate Administrators and User Administrators This procedure removes a user's access to all Fannie Mae Technology applications. 14 6. A warning message appears. Click Confirm to complete deactivation of the user. Reactivating a User ID Reactivate a User Performed by Corporate Administrators and User Administrators This procedure returns a currently deactivated user to an active state. Once you have reactivated the user, you will need to activate applications for that user as well. 1. On the Home Page, click the Manage Users link. 2. The Manage Users screen appears.
