The Institte Of Commercial Management Prospects Start Yor Career Here! www.icm.ac.k info@icm.ac.k

The fondation of every state is the edcation of it s yoth. Diogenes Laertis Welcome... Althogh we are an Examining and Awarding body, we are also a large employer, with hndreds of staff in the UK and overseas. The Institte has all the typical departments one wold expect to find in any edcational sector organisation - a Post Room, a large IT Department, an Acconts Office, a Print Department, Book Store and a large Data Processing Department, to name bt a few, and one of my many roles involves interviewing prospective employees. In the corse of every interview I look for specific information abot the candidate. What qalifications does this candidate possess? What are his or her skill sets? What is his or her employment history, what interpersonal skills does the candidate have and what is their level of general knowledge? Obviosly, I also evalate their personal presentation and their commnication skills. The information I need from candidates is going to be wanted by all employers for whom the starting point is always a review of the candidate s qalifications. The reality is that for all those seeking employment, it will be their qalifications which will dictate their employment opportnities, career progression, career prospects and eventally, their sitability for promotion. This Prospects otlines the wide variety of ICM Awards and qalifications available to its Stdent Members. It also otlines the niversity progression rotes available to all ICM Stdent Members, irrespective of their age or level of employment. Regardless of where yo go in the world today, it is almost certain that yo will find a former ICM Stdent Member holding down a sccessfl career. In the past forty years, over for million candidates have ndertaken stdies and examinations leading to the isse of an ICM Award and despite the vagaries of local and national economies, the reality is that ICM Stdent Members do well in the job market. We want yo to scceed and I hope that an ICM Award will play a major role in helping yo to achieve yor goals in life. My very best wishes to yo for a sccessfl and prosperos ftre. Or advice is that yo try to split yor sbject examinations between two consective Examination Series e.g. if yor programme has for sbjects yo cold take two sbjects in one Series and two in another Series. On this basis, were yo to fail one sbject in March yo wold be able to re-sit it in September, giving yo plenty of time for revision. 7.6 Examination Closing Dates There is a Closing Date for receipt of Examination Entries and candidates entering for examinations mst ensre that their completed Examination Entry forms and fees reach the Institte before the Closing Date for each Examination Series.
