Software updates JDSU regularly releases enhancements to E6474A software solution in the form of software updates. Purchasing any of the update options entitles you to receive all of the updates released during the term of your agreement. Under this service, you automatically receive new software releases that contain significant improvements or enhancements that affect your system. If a new release contains only minor revisions, you will receive notification from JDSU so you can request or copy the software directly from a JDSU archive. These delivery mechanisms eliminate the necessity to check continually for the availability of new software. The Software and Support Update Service (SUS) options include: 1-year standard SUS (Option 060) 1-year Corporate SUS (for more than 50 systems)(option 061) 1-year Tech Tool SUS (Option 062) 3-year standard SUS (Option 063) 3-year Corporate SUS (Option 064) 3-year Tech Tool SUS (Option 065) 5-year standard SUS (Option 066) 5-year Corporate SUS (Option 067) 5-year Tech Tool SUS (Option 068) Software updates typically consist of a bundled package that contains both enhancements and maintenance items. This is provided as part of your E6474A Option 061 Software and Support Agreement. U.S.A. accounts will get a priority access number. Excluded costs and services The following software update process costs and services are outside the scope of the E6474A Software and Support Update Services: A valid license is required for software updates supplied by this service and will be provided after JDSU receives payment of the appropriate fee. You can obtain licenses for other applications on the update media not previously purchased after JDSU receives payment of the appropriate fee. JDSU recommends that new customers to the E6474A platform (Version 10.0 and up) purchase on-site training (H7211B-209). SUS Releases Customers with a current SUS agreement will receive the benefits listed below. Customers can skip releases because each subsequent release includes a superset of previous releases. For example, customers upgrading from Release 16.1 to 16.3 also will receive the benefits of Release 16.2. 4

Solution: New projects created in Release 16.2 or later will clear the Turn off Slotted Mode Operation setting in the CDMA2000LogMask dialog by default, allowing EVDO Rev A devices that are detected as Generic CDMA devices to function properly. CDMA and CDMA2000 phones require users to manually turn on the Turn off Slotted Mode Operation option to work properly. Problem: Missing CDMA/EVDO Searcher and Finger Info messages. Solution: Adds log packets from log codes 0x119C and 0x119F when the Searcher and Finger Info checkbox is selected. Problem: Displays run-time error when testing with the Sierra Wireless 313U LTE device. Solution: Resolves logging error in the Qualcomm LTE Intrafrequency Measurements frame. Problem: Incorrectly displays the UMTS Receiver Bar Chart after changing the display mode from vertical to horizontal bars during logging. Solution: Resolves a coding error that caused this defect. Problem: The iperf test reports failure when setting the TCP maximum segment size. Solution: Disable the iperf -M option when entering 0 in the TCP MSS [M] property. Problem: Disproportionate display of rotatable indoor map view for measuring tool and post processing. Solution: Added display for width, depth, and aspect ratio to help users more accurately define the indoor boundary. Problem: Failure to display the VoIP MOS score for G7xx codecs when testing with VoIP office running on Windows 7. Solution: Resolved an error in port binding that caused this defect. 6

Solution: Adjusted the time stamp values based on channel bandwidth. Problem: Issues with band and sector forcing on the Nokia C7-00 phone. Solution: Updated the conditions and commands used in the forcing functions. Problem: Occasional exceptions occur when creating an event after loading an old drive. Solution: Corrected the logic to support backwards compatibility when restructuring frame items. Problem: Failed Samsung LTE connect and disconnect tests indicate COM port read timeouts after removing and inserting devices. Solution: Corrected the recovery logic for COM port reloads. 7
Problem: When keypad emulation is off, certain Qualcomm chipset-based phones result in the second-called-party number not taking effect in a sequence of call control tests. Solution: Updated the phone number for every call. Problem: Indoor map freezes while updating position, if plotting Ec/Io on the map. Solution: Implemented mechanisms to accommodate multiple updates more efficiently. Problem: Time stamps in Samsung LTE logs may show large jumps in value. Solution: Updated the method of decoding time stamps and detecting wraparound conditions. Problem: The bars in the Receiver UMTS Top N SC Ec/Io chart may turn green, even for invalid scrambling codes. Solution: Corrected the logic that controls the bar color. Problem: The map view may indicate an exception when changing the spectrum range for a data item in map-layer properties. Solution: Resolved a divide-by-zero error. Problem: Inaccurate GSM cell ID updates in logs collected with FTA version 1.20. Solution: Parsed system information Type 6 messages; the fix is available in FTA version 1.40. Problem: Unable to run multiple video streaming with MOS tests under a parallel sequence. Solution: Updated the sequencer test code to accommodate parallel execution of the Genista agent.
