Admissions can be confusing. Are you applying for the online program or as an F1 student? Do you have a degree or credits earned outside the U.S.? IAU s friendly admissions staff are ready to walk you through the process. Maylin Mendez, Associate Director Md Osman, Coordinator The methodology in distance learning is a tricky one with most schools, and to that effect, I was surprised when I was given priority as an international student who was studying in different time zones. I am an entrepreneur and someone who has risen through the ranks working in Fortune 500s before launching NetworkPlay in India and therefore the instinct of building business was extremely high and to that effect the marketing, operational excellence and proccesses driven subjects were all very intuitive for me to get highly involved during the program. All relevant tutorial guidelines, online library access and reference course material online were all made available whenever I needed them. All foreign students, who are either going to the campus or doing the distance education program, can be rest assured that all electives at IAU are designed keeping in mind the student's pre-requisites, availability of time of the student/professional, and their desire to learn. Rammohan Sundaram, MBA (2007) Chief Executive Officer NetworkPlay Media Pvt Ltd., New Delhi, India I am a recent graduate of the MBA program, class of 2011. This experience has given me the opportunity to truly grow in my education, apply the theories taught in the courses to practical use in my personal business venture and aided my acceptance into a medical graduate program. IAU's program gave me leverage at Mount St. Mary College in Los Angeles for my graduate program. The courses are well taught and challenged my thinking. The MBA program truly sets the bar for a great higher education institution because we are encourage to think outside the box, yet still adhere to a tradition school of thought. I am amazed at my progress and what I have learned during the program. IAU's staff and faculty truly encouraged and support my education; I am truly grateful and appreciative of the program. Today, as an alum, I am furthering my education at a medical graduate school, but I know I will apply my knowledge and the education I received at IAU in my future endeavors. Thank you again, IAU for the education and the foundation for future growth. Lam Nguyen, MBA (2011) Doctor of Physical Therapy candidate Mount St. Mary College, Los Angeles, CA
Student Service is a large part of IAU s appeal. Students of IAU come from a diversity of backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles. IAU provides an intimate learning environment for our students to create a family-like atmosphere. Pauline Kim, Director of Academics Pauline Airla, Student Services Coordinator Like many other international students, I faced incredible amounts of hardships upon my arrival in the United States. The major differences in culture as well as language barriers and steep tuition fees can take a toll on a 20-year-old student from India. In December 2007, I received my bachelor s degree in the business field of Information Technology at International American University (IAU). I then was accepted into a campus MBA program at Lincoln University, Oakland, CA - accredited by ACICS. I used to start my day by working in a cell phone shop, attended school during lunch time, and then finally ended my day by working at Taco Bell. Keeping up with payments of student fees had reached its critical peak, and I had to take time off from Lincoln. I felt frustrations, but they couldn t deter me from my life course. I ultimately came to the conclusion that IAU was the best choice in continuing my higher education and enrolled in the distance learning MBA program in January 2008. IAU has the credentials in creating knowledgeable students that are strong enough to deal with the real world and achieve goals in their lives. Sanil Kimmatkar, MBA (2010); BSIT (2007) Senior Manager Hitachi Consulting, Chicago, IL I feel very comfortable communication with IAU Staff who are down-to-earth persons and ready to lend a helping hand to me any time I need, especially Ryan Doan, Maylin Mendez, and Pauline Kim. They provided exceptional and commendable services to me. I strongly recommend working students or adults who want to upgrade their skills and knowledge in order to advance their career within the organization or elsewhere to pursue online BBA or MBA programs here at IAU. It is partly because of the flexibility of the program as you can work on the courses from any where internet access is available. You can do your assignment any time as you get spare time as long as you meet the deadline. IAU has perfect online course module to meet all your needs. I would, therefore, like to express my heartfelt gratitude to IAU for making it possible. Ngo Pau, BBA (2011) Computer Operator II Heitech Services, Inc., Landover, MD
