4 MBA MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION PROGRAM DESCRIPTION The Master of Business Administration (MBA) seeks to give the student competency in business knowledge and skills and to demonstrate their practical application to experience. It attempts to provide the optimal condition for learning through an application of business theory to experience. The program is designed to serve the needs of both fully employed and full-time students. The MBA program is designed to provide students with opportunities to explore and master business administration concepts and meet educational goals and enhance their career opportunities.

6 MODE OF INSTRUCTION HYBRID AND / OR ONLINE HYBRID INSTRUCTION IS DELIVERED IN A TRADITIONAL CLASSROOM SETTING. FOR 100% ONLINE STUDENTS, IAUONLINE (OUR E-LEARNING PLATFORM) IS THE ONLY MEANS TO DELIVER COURSE MATERIALS AND INTERACT WITH THE INSTRUCTOR.

10 GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS Students in the MBA program must meet the following requirements: Student must complete 36 semester units of prescribed curriculum. Satisfactory completion of a minimum of an internship for two sessions. Applicable only to international I 20 students. Satisfactory completion of all required course work with a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Students must apply for graduation and meet all academic and financial requirements.

11 INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS LEGAL WORK AUTHORIZATION What makes IAU stand out from other schools is we provide the opportunity for international students to work in the U.S.A. via CPT / OPT! CPT OPT Curricular Practical Training (CPT) is an off-campus employment option for F-1 students when the practical training is an integral part of the established curriculum or academic program. CPT employment is defined as alternative work/study, internship, cooperative education, or any other type of required internship or practicum that is offered by sponsoring employers through cooperative agreements with the school. To qualify, the work experience must be required for your degree, or academic credit must awarded. And yes, students can get paid for CPT employment. Students who have fulfilled one year of academic training and are eligible for graduation may apply for Optional Practical Training (OPT). OPT allows applicants to work fulltime up to 12 months after graduation in a position which is related to their program of study. IAU assists in filing for OPT with USCIS and urge students to contact us 90 days prior to the date they wish to graduate as the processing time may take days. Not all applicants are eligible for OPT. For more details, please call us to make an appointment with a DSO! Prior authorization by IAU s international student office and notification to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) is required.

13 How To Applyto International American University E N R O L L M E N T D A T E S There are 6 enrollment terms per year. You must apply before the application deadline. 14 Admissions Process H Y B R I D, O N L I N E, F - 1 Step 1 Submit Admissions Portfolio (AP) The AP consists of all the documents you must submit to the Office of Admissions & Records (A&R) to see if you meet the criteria for the applied program. Step 2 Evaluation A&R will evaluate your AP. Step 3 Decision A&R will send a letter to you with a decision: Accepted or Denied.

15 A D M I S S I O N S P R O C E S S C O N T I N U E D Step 4 Accept/Refuse Offer You can accept or refuse the acceptance offer. If you accept, there will be additional documents that are required to be signed and returned to A&R. Step 5 Official Enrollment Once the admissions enrollment documents are received by A&R, you will be issued an official enrollment package. Step 6 Register for Classes Students are required to register for classes. The Office of Academic Services will assist you with this process. Registration requires choosing the appropriate classes and paying tuition fees.
