Beau Brummell was an iconic figure in Regency England. On an early summer s morning in 1813, Beau was lamenting a run of bad luck which had led him to become almost destitute. Wandering round the corner of Berkeley Square towards Hay Hill, he saw something glistening on the floor. It was a crooked sixpence. He took the coin home, drilled a hole in it, and attached it to his watch chain. The coin, almost overnight, changes his fortunes and became his good luck charm. Unfortunately, he later lost his coin. Whilst at 12 Hay Hill we believe you make your own fortune, we hope that a bit of good luck from the place where Beau found his sixpence won t do our members any harm...
1. INTRODUCTION 12 Hay Hill Members Business Club, is an entirely new class of office and social space. 7. THE TEAM Simon Robinson LVO Chief Executive Simon is the CEO of 12 Hay Hill and is responsible for the day-to-day management of all aspects of the Club. Previously he held a senior appointment within the Royal Household, as Crown Equerry and was the architect of State and ceremonial processions for The Royal Mews, Buckingham Palace. Prior to that, he had a distinguished 18 year career in the Armed Forces. Julien Marinozzi Director of Operations As Director of Operations, Julien is responsible for overseeing the restaurant, bar and service functions at 12 Hay Hill. Prior to his appointment at the Club, Julien was Director of Operations at Sketch, Mayfair. He has a decade of experience working in restaurants, including a leading Michelin-starred restaurant in France. Shaun Rankin - Head Chef Shaun Rankin is a world renowned Michelin-starred chef and an ambassador for high quality produce. He has spent the majority of his career in Jersey, Channel Islands and shot to culinary fame in 2009 on BBC Two s Great British Men and in 2010 launched his TV series Island Feast. He opened his latest venture, Ormer, in 2013, gaining a Michelin star only four months after opening and has since received 3AA Rosettes and won Restaurant of the Year Best Newcomer in the coveted Food and Travel Magazine Awards 2014. His focus on combining Jersey s world-class produce together with a stamp for excellence that combines the traditional with the contemporary to produce outstanding cuisine is something that Shaun aims to replicate at 12 Hay Hill.
