NAIT Student Employment Job Posting System Student Employment is using PlacePro software to optimize the online services students can access when looking for employment. The following is a step by step guide to get you started on the job posting system. Step 1 log in to MyNAIT Portal off the main NAIT page (www.nait.ca) Step 2 If you are NAIT alumni, you can create a new student log in Step 3 Log in with your User name and Password
Step 4 Ensure you are logged in and proceed to the Student Employment site. Step 5 Once in the Student Employment site, Click on job postings Step 6 Fill out a personal profile with the red fields being required Step 7 It is important to fill in academic information as is will determine your job search
Step 8 Fill in your Academic Information with a stated major as well as any other desired areas. There is also a tab for General Non program specific postings in the other majors section. Save your profile. Step 9 In My Job Search, click add new to set up your job preferences (full time, part time etc) Step 10 Choose your employment type and ensure you click add and then Save Preferences
Step 11 When you go to Job Search, the key preferences you have saved are pulled forward. Click the check box in the majors you want to search at any time Step 12 Once you hit search, you can view postings in the field you specified
This new system allows you to upload a resume and cover letter. Please note: Most employers will include preferred application instructions. The Apply Now button should NOT be used to replace the employer s specific instructions. Employers may not consider your application if applicants do not follow specific instructions. To explore the option to upload your resume, click on My Documents / Portfolio In the Document Manager of your Portfolio, you can browse your files and upload your resume and cover letter. If applying for a job in PlacePro, check for review to modify your document to a universal format for employers to view. Ensure that you check application instructions in each posting to see if any preferred application methods are specified by the employer.

Under Profile and Academic Information, do I need to fill out all the fields? A. No, any required fields are listed in red. All other information is discretionary. Q. Is it important to list my GPA? A. Most employers are not listing a minimum GPA. So as not to limit the jobs you are searching, leave the GPA as 0.0. If you are wanting to specify your grades, it can be done in your cover letter or your resume. Q. I don t have an up to date resume or cover letter. Can the Student Employment office help? A.
