Why have we partnered with Qeshm Free Zone Organisation? Qeshm Island was declared a free Zone in 1991, its geographical location, its proximity from Dubai, the laws governing it and the many investment opportunities available on the island make it a very attractive starting point for investors who aspire to do business in Iran. It is easily reachable from Dubai and Tehran using Qeshm Air or Mahan Air. As a free zone, there is no visa requirement for all foreigners to visit the island. Iran plans to turn the island of Qeshm into an energy hub within the next 10 years, through developing oil and gas fields off the Persian Gulf Island. In addition to Hengam oil and gas field which is operational, Hormuz, Taftan, and Tousan oil fields will also be developed to make Qeshm the major oil hub in the region. Hengam oil and gas field lies 70km off Iranian shores near the Hormoz Straight in the Persian Gulf. The field is situated approximately 40km south of Qeshm Island and 30km away from Hengam Island.
