1. HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS COMPUTER IBM or compatible PII266 running at 266 MHz, or better. MEMORY At least 32 Mb of memory. Recommended: 64 Mb or better. WINDOWS Windows XP or higher Note: You must have a "mouse" to run Galactic Stock Trader. VIDEO CARD SVGA (1024 x 768) MONITOR SVGA Monitor. PRINTER Any printer compatible with Windows.

2. CONVENTIONS MOUSE When using the mouse and its on-screen pointer to select items and initiate actions the following apply: "Click" - click the left mouse button once. "Double-click" -click the left mouse button twice, in quick succession. "Right-Click" - click the right mouse button once. TIME All times are shown and must be edited in 24 hours format. Example: 9:00PM must be typed as 21:00.

3. INSTALLING GALACTIC STOCK TRADER 3.1. Installation Of The Hardware Security Lock The purpose of the hardware lock is to ensure that only authorized users of Galactic Stock Trader can run the program. The software cannot run without an attached security lock. The hardware lock is an electronic device and should be handled with care. If you slide across a thick carpet, then before handling the lock, discharge static electricity by touching a grounded object such as the metal case of your PC. Avoid touching the ends of the lock. You can transport the lock between locations, such as home and office, without fear of damaging it. Just don't keep it in the same pocket as your keys or in the bottom of your gym bag. Step 1 Step 2 Exit your programs and switch off your computer. If you are using a USB type security key, attach the key directly to an empty USB port on your computer. If you are using a parallel port type security key, the security key fits between your computer and printer (if you have one), as show in the diagram below. If you have a printer attached to the standard parallel printer port, disconnect it. HARDWARE KEY If you have a printer, (re)connect the printer cable to the now exposed end of the hardware security key. Make sure all connections are snug. If you have screws on the end of your printer cable that are attached to the hardware key lock, tighten them and also tighten the hardware key lock's own screws in order to hold it firmly to the micro. If you have more than one security key, then "piggyback" them. With the security key now properly installed, proceed with the installation of the software.
