Novotel Hotel - Blackfriars 30 Million Twin Hotel development. Beautifully designed contemporary 4-Star and 2-Star Hotels Client - Accor Hotels Builder - McAleer and Rushe Duration - 15 Months Kane Group Project - 3,200,000.00 Novotel is a beautifully designed contemporary 4-Star and 2-Star Hotel Development situated in Blackfriars, comprising 324 guest bedrooms, 12 business suites, 6 meeting rooms and a bar and restaurant. The hotel also has a full range of leisure facilities, including a swimming pool. Kane Group provided its services across both of these beautiful hotels. Prefabricating the boiler house and risers off site allowing for speedy construction, reduced Health & Safety issues onsite and delivery of a high quality product to our client.
Premier Inn- Gatwick 29 Million Design & Build Airport Hotel Project Client - Aurora Developments Builder - McAleer and Rushe Duration - 11 Months Kane Group Project - 1,900,000.00 This 13 floor, mixed use development comprised a 630 bedroom hotel with an internal courtyard, hotel reception level and Penthouse office accommodation along with 475 car parking spaces. Due to the scale of this development and its location within the live and very busy airport site, it was vital that this project was expertly co-ordinated from the outset. Professional project management from our experienced and knowledgeable team meant we were able to ensure integration and co-ordination of services to avoid clashes and downtime. We were delighted to deliver this job on time and within budget.
Ibis Hotel - Brighton 8 Million City Centre Re-development Client - Accor Hotels Builder - McAleer and Rushe Duration - 8 Months Kane Group Project - 760,000.00 The Ibis Brighton City Centre hotel is on Brighton s Queen s Road just minutes from the city s seafront. The project involved the demolition of existing building (former casino) and construction of a new 9 storey 140 bedroom hotel development within an extremely restricted site. We worked closely with our client s team to manage and co-ordinate our works and delivery of site supplies. We prefabricated our plantrooms and risers offsite to allow works to progress, while reducing the number of personnel onsite. We were pleased to have delivered yet another high quality project for our client and for Accor Hotel Group.
Motel One, Minories - London 18 Million Development A BREEAM Excellent energy rating This beautifully designed hotel lies in the heart of London, with a modern theme throughout the hotel, from the colourful exterior through to the fresh interior. The design and build of 24-26 Minories includes a basement beneath 14 floors of hotel space. The basement was extended and lowered to house the plant for the new hotel and the exterior was designed to a 2 tower effect building consisting of 291 bedrooms and leisure facilities. The colourful panels feature vertical LED lights on a staggered layout to gently activate the façade in the evening and make this building a new iconic and easily recognisable feature of the London Skyline. Motel One, Minories - London
Doubletree Hotel by Hilton - Islington This project involved a 6 storey extension to the existing Jury s Inn Hotel in Islington, now taken over by Doubletree Hotels (Hilton brand), London. The works comprised of 155 bedrooms together with associated front of house and back of house accommodation. With this being a live Hotel site we had to ensure that disruption was kept to an absolute minimum, connections to site wide systems were carefully planned in conjunction with the client and works undertaken at off peak times to avoid any loss of service to our clients guests. Our wealth of experience in both Hotel projects and works on a live site provides us with an acute awareness of the client s requirements for these projects. We understand the impact of our works on the client, but through collaborative working, open dialogue and careful management, we were very pleased to successfully deliver this project. Racing Stadium - Dundalk 15.6 Million Design & Build of Racing Stadium Dundalk Stadium is more than just a racecourse; it is a state of the art facility open all year round situated on 147 acres of land ready to welcome guests for a social or business function whether it be business conferences, exhibitions, team building or weddings. The Racing Stadium is a highly serviced building, with many different functions. There are bar areas, kitchens, public tote areas together with corporate and judges boxes. This project required considerable planning and co-ordination with other trades to ensure all services were accommodated within the very limited service void space, owing to the unique building design. Dun Laoghaire Library - Co. Dublin Client - Dun Laoghaire County Council Builder - John Sisk and Son Ltd Duration - 26 Months This project saw the construction of the new Dun Laoghaire Library, Arts, Community and Cultural Centre. The Cultural Centre includes a performance space with seating for 100 people, an art gallery, education workshop space and cafe. The library includes a public living room overlooking the park, with space for internet use, newspapers and magazines as well as a resource for community information and a dedicated suite of rooms for young people. The building also accommodates general reading rooms, a children s library and a local history department. The project includes a re-development of Moran Park, including outdoor space for events, a new shallow pond and significant landscaping around Moran Park House itself. We were delighted to have been entrusted with the delivery of the complex building services on this project which integrated both conventional heating and ventilation systems with renewable technologies such as Biomass and Natural Ventilation systems controlled through a site wide BMS system. The Moorefield Hotel - Shetlands Built and fully fitted-out room by room in a factory in Northern Ireland & shipped to Shetland Islands for installation This was a unique modular hotel that was manufactured in Northern Ireland, then shipped from Warrenpoint and assembled by McAleer & Rushe in the Shetland Islands. 100 fitted bedrooms along with 9 ancillary rooms and everything needed to build a restaurant, gym and reception made the journey from Warrenpoint in Co. Down to the Shetland village of Brae. Effective communication between us and the main contractor from execution through to delivery ensured that any potential problems were avoided. Revit 3D drawings ensured services and building fabric were designed to a very high standard and nothing was left to chance. The close co-ordination of the team paid dividends, as the building was assembled, completed and commissioned 3 months after arriving on site.
