How to make a call Web CapTel No special equipment needed. All you need is a computer with an internet connection and any telephone. 1. Go to: http://www.webcaptel.com.au info@aceinfo.net.au) 4. Enter: your telephone number (landline or mobile) that you will use for the phone conversation. 5. Enter: the telephone number you want to call in the Dial To Number box. 6. Click: Place Call 7. Call connecting: the blank caption page will appear on your screen and your phone will ring, answer it and wait for the person you are calling to pick up their phone. 8. Call connected: once your call is connected, talk as usual and as the other person talks, captions will appear on your screen. 9. End call: once the call is complete, hang up and click End Call.
How to receive a call Web CapTel No special equipment needed. All you need is a computer with an internet connection and any telephone. 1. Go to: http://www.webcaptel.com.au info@aceinfo.net.au). 4. Enter: your telephone number (landline or mobile) that you will use to place and receive calls. 5. Number for your contacts: Your contacts will need to dial 1300 318 850. They will then be prompted to enter your number followed by #. 6. Wait for calls: Once you have logged in and entered your number, you are automatically set up to receive calls. You can change your number at any time. 7. Incoming calls: When a call comes, pick up your phone and your captioned screen will automatically pop up. 8. End call: once the call is complete, hang up and click End Call. NB: You can minimise your internet window and work on your computer while waiting for calls.
Web CapTel No special equipment needed. All you need is an iphone with an internet connection! You can also receive captions on the itouch. How to make a call with the iphone 1. Connect to the internet on your iphone by pressing the safari button on your main screen. Type in http://www.webcaptel.com.au info@aceinfo.net.au). 4. Enter: your iphone mobile number. 5. Enter: the telephone number you want to call in the Dial To Number box. Click place call 6. Call connecting: Your phone will ring/vibrate. Answer your phone and then you will need to press speaker. 7. Captioning: To view the captions, press the home button followed by the safari button on your screen. This will bring the captioning back up to your home screen. 8. Call connected: Once your call is connected, talk as usual. As the other person talks, captions will appear on your screen. If the call is busy your phone will signal blocked. To try again press end call in the Web CapTel page and retype their number. 9. End call: Once the call is complete, hang up by clicking the End Call button in both the Web CapTel page and the iphone
