NM i Automasjon 2014 Project 4: Project 4 - Optimizing of Distribution and Turnover station Weighting (Points out of total) 15/100 Maximum time 60 minutes

Task: Your task is to optimize a finished production line. The goal is to run 4 workpieces through the system in the shortest possible amount of time. You are allowed to change the program and move sensors and components freely. There will be no evalutation for the behavior of lamps, professional practice (exept collisions) or simulation box. Also, there will be no timepoints for preparation time. Before the evaluation starts you will get time to move the station to initial position. The system is ready for evaluation when it is in initial position and pressing the start button will start the production. Documentation Turn Over station: Initial Position: - Gripper open - Turnover module raised - Conveyor off - Separator and stopper in closed position

Wiring of the I/O-terminal Input Comment: Output Comment: DI0 Workpiece at Belt Input DO0 Move Separator DI1 Workpiece at Separator DO1 Activate Belt DI2 Workpiece at Belt End DO2 Retract Stopper DI3 Separator in Basic Position DO3 Turn Belt Direction (Optional) DI4 Orientation at Separator DO4 Not used DI5 Workpiece at Stopper DO5 Not used

Function description This is a description of the required function for the production line. Points will be awarded according to how much of the function that is achieved. Initial position: Conveyor off Stopper extended Separator in Stop - position / cylinder retracted No workpieces on the station Initial position of the TO-module: Gripper open Gripper up Initial position of Distribution Station: Vacuum off Stack magazine ejecting cylinder extended Swivel arm in downstream position Step Description Achieved Points Start from initial position Press start button First piece moves through the system* 3,0 Second piece moves through the system* 1,5 Third piece moves through the system* 1,5 Fourth piece moves through the system* 1,5 *The piece must be handled correctly (turned over if it is upside down), the stopper on the belt must be removed so the workpieces fall of the station The timing stops when the last workpiece falls off the turn over station.
