2 2 3 Concept and main features FLSmidth Ventomatic SpA has more than 40 years of experience in the development of palletizers. Starting from the first suction pad palletizers type SPV to the well established M series, FLSmidth Ventomatic SpA has always aimed at bringing innovative design and technology to the market. The modular POLIMAT C series palletizer is the result of this continuous research. Key benefits - Increase the efficiency of the machine and reduce the maintenance parts and down time; - Increase the capacity to match the increasing output of our packers; Important innovations in the automation of the machine are: - Increased speed combined with absolute accuracy is obtained by using advanced controls such as brushless motors/closed loop inverters - The introduction of the most innovative and friendly operator machine interface (HMI) makes setting of the pallet configuration and parameters an extremely easy and operator friendly operation. Furthermore, the HMI controls offer important support for diagnostics, trouble shooting and production statistics/recording Main features of the POLIMAT C series automatic palletizers - High quality state of the art electronic components to ensure high reliability; - Modular concept and wide use of standard parts in order to optimize the fabrication process and in order to minimize delivery time; - Flexibility in design allows options such as full automatic regulation for multiple bags size, various stack height, various full pallet weight etc...; - Pre-wired execution with fast connection plugs to minimize erection and commission time; - Field-bus control network for all sensors installed on the equipment (optional); - Wide range of auxiliary equipment to fit the layout requirements according to available space and customer dispatch philosophy (wrapping, stretch hood, palletless etc...). - Smooth handling of the bags for optimal pallet stacking quality.

4 6 7 Production range FLSmidth Ventomatic SpA can supply a wide range of palletizing lines according to the customer requirements. The palletizers of the C series are divided in 3 groups: small, medium and high capacity. Low capacity POLIMAT C15 and POLIMAT C20 models are suitable to handle paper, plastic and woven PP bags of different weight and size. Medium capacity POLIMAT C251 and POLIMAT C301 models are suitable to handle paper, plastic and woven PP bags of different weight and size. 6 10 11 Electrical board and operator control panel Accessories to the palletizing line - Operator control panel (HMI) with 5.7 touch screen for an easy menu scrolling; - User friendly HMI for a quick setting of the parametres according to the variable bag and pallet dimensions; - Machine alarms, messages display and historical log of alarms; - Diagnostic data and trouble shooting support; - Machine data local back-up; - Easy to be interfaced to a supervision system for data exchange; - Field-bus control network. According to the customer needs, FLSmidth Ventomatic can integrate the palletizing lines with several additional technologies in order to optimize the handling system and/or the dispatching philosophy. Stretch hood system with plastic film Downstream the palletizer, the full pallet can be protected with a plastic film by using a cold process called Stretch hooding. The main advantages are: - High protection level against humidity and/or dust; - Very simple cold-based process; - Heating sources such as flames, hot air or ovens are not necessary; - No need glue for film; - Very stable stacks expecially with small-medium size bags. 7 12 13 Palletless system for waterproof packaging Packing & Palletizing line Layout cases The palletizer can be connected downstream with a Palletless system which is a process where the stacked bags are completely sealed all around by using a thermoshrinking plastic film without the use of any pallet support. The main advantages are: - No wooden pallets; - Easier transportation logistic - no pallets to return; - Easy to handle with fork lift; - Waterproof load.
