Notice of Race Event: International Swedish Championship for 2.4mR Date: 6-8 August 2015 Organizer: KSSS, Royal Swedish Yacht Club 1. Rules 1.1 The event will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS). 1.2 A boat may take a One Turn penalty when she may have broken a rule of part 2 while racing. This changes RRS 44.1. 1.3 Swedish competitors shall when racing follow the licensing rules for advertising as decided by the Swedish Sailing Federation. 1.4 Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing authority. 1.5 Competitors shall when afloat wear personal flotation devices. This rule does not apply to short-term replacement or adjustment of clothing or personal equipment, or when competitors are in the harbor. Wet suits and dry suits are not personal flotation devices. This changes RRS 40. A boat that breaks this rule may be warned or penalized at the discretion of the protest committee. 2. Eligibility requirements 2.1 To be entitled to participate in championships of the Swedish Sports Confederation, each competitor must comply with ISAF Regulation 19. 2.2 Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third party liability insurance with a minimum cover of 10.000.000 SEK per event or the equivalent. 2.3 Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See RRS 4, Decision to Race. The organising authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
3. Entries 3.1 Entry shall be made not later than 23 July 2015 on www.swe24metre.com. Later entry is accepted, but for Swedish participants to a higher fee. 3.2 The advance entry shall include the following: The helmsman s name, address, e-mail, phone, club, sex and eventual disability The yacht s design and sail number. 3.3 Required fee is 1200 SEK which includes the following per boat: launching, hauling out, mooring, trailer parking and use of Club facilities from Thursday 6 August to Saturday 8 August 2015 the opening ceremony, Thursday 6 August 2015 After sail Thursday 6 August, Friday 7 August and Saturday 8 August 2015 Prize giving, Saturday 8 August 2015 If the entry form and fee is received by 23 July 2015, the reduced fee will be 1000 SEK. The entry fee shall be paid to The Swedish 2.4mR Association pg 506823-4. IBAN: SE 21 9500 0099 6034 0506 8234 BIC (Swift): NDEASESS Participants from abroad having sent in the entry form by 23 July may pay reduced fee 1000 SEK at the arrival. 4. Registration and measurement checks 4.1 Registrations shall be made at the race office not later than Friday 7 August 2015 at 09.00. 4.2 Measurement certificate and flotation certificate shall be presented prior to racing. 4.3 In addition the following measurements checks will be taken: Weight of the yacht ISAF Plaque Number Flotation marks on the hull as well as marks on spars Manual pump, towing rope, fitting for towing rope A maximum of 3 jibs and 2 mainsails may be registered. 4.4 Measurement checks and inspections may be made at any time at the discretion and direction of the Race Committee. 5. Sailing Instructions 5.1 The sailing instructions will be handed out at registration. 6. Racing area 8.1 The location of the racing area will be Baggensfjärden. 9. The course 9.1 Windward-leeward course will be sailed. 10. Protests and penalty systems 10.1 RRS P will apply. 11. Scoring 11.1 The low point scoring system of RRS A will apply, modified so that when three or fewer races have been completed a boat s series score will be the total of her race scores. 11.2 3 races are required to be completed to constitute a championship. 12. Prizes 12.1 KSSS prizes according to the number of boats entered: one prize for every five boats or part of five, until a maximum of eight prizes 12.2 Championship plaquettes and titles may be awarded if six or more boats from at least three different Swedish clubs located in more than one Swedish district have crossed the finish line in one race in the championship. 12.3 Perpetual trophies.
