Marina di Loano L EQUIPE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP LOANO Italy 26 th July 3 nd July 206 NOTICE OF RACE The 206 L EQUIPE European Championship will be held in Loano, Liguria, Italy from 26 th to 3 nd July. The event is organized by the Italian L Equipe Class Association, in cooperation with the Itakian Sailing Federation,Circolo Nautico Loano, Marina di Loano harbour, Loano City, Yacht Club Marina di Loano, and the L Equipe International Association (EIA). RULES The Event will be governed by: the WS Racing Rules of Sailing for The L EQUIPE Class Rules (except as altered by the Notice of Race and the S.I. ) The Notice of Race and its appendix. The Sailing Instructions. Direct judging on the water will be used for infringements of RRS Part 2 as provided in the Sailing Instructions. RRS 42 will be judged on water. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS Sailing instructions will be available at the Regatta Office from 0:00 am on 26 th July ELEGIBILITY Only competitors born after 3 December 999 and born in and 2004 are entitled to compete. The competitors born in 2004 shall have to be 2 years old before 26 july. Competitors shall comply with the eligibility requirements of RRS Appendix 2. Each boat must be covered by a third part liability insurance with a minimum cover of,500,000 for the duration of the regatta.

Entry fee shall be paid by bank transfer before June 30, 206 to: Bank: UNICREDIT BANK IBAN: IT34V SWIFT: UNCRITMDE3 Account owner Circolo Nautico Loano In the form of payement is mandatory to write sailing number and name of the crew Each competitor shall personally register and sign the registration form at the Race Office before 7,30 on 27th July 206. Registration is subject to the presentation, before that time, of the following documents: A health certificate proving the ability at nautical sports (validity 3 months maximum when presented separately from the licence). ( not for italian s competitors ) 2 Parent s agreement for child under 8 years old. 3 The original Measurement Certificate of the boat. 4 The authorization of the relevant National Authority to display individual advertising as permitted in RRD Appendix for category C events. 5 The relevant National Authority License. For competitors not living in Italy, a certificate proving he is a member of a national authority of his country or of a Club affiliated to it, and a certificate of third party liability insurance with a minimum cover of,500,000. No warning signal will be given on the last day after 6.00

3 6 SCORING The low-point scoring system as described in RRS Appendix A will apply. Number of races: 0 races is scheduled with maximum of 3 races for day Two race is required to be completed to constitute a series. Discards: a) When fewer than 4 races have been completed, a boat s series score will be the total of her race scores. b) when 4 to 8 valid races have been completed, a boats series score will be the total of her races scores excluding her worst score. c) when more than 9 valid races have been completed, a boats series will be the total of her races score excluding her two worst scores. 7 MEASUREMENT SAIL AND EQUIPMENT STAMPING Competitors shall present for stamping the following equipment: hull, centreboard, rudder, rigging, one or two sets of L EQUIPE evolution sails. Class rules will be strictly enforced in accordance with RRS 78. Special attention shall be drawn to sail s lettering and mandatory safety equipment. Random measurement checks can be made on a daily basis. Boat cannot take part in the regatta while using unstamped equipment. 7 SUPPORT BOATS All support boats are required to register at the Regatta Office prior to 7,30 on 27th July 206. Registered boats must display their national flag or letters on the water. All support boats shall have a third party liability insurance with a minimum cover of for the duration of the regatta. Certificate of such insurance shall be presented during boat registration. 8 PRIZES Prizes will be awarded to: The youngest crew, Top three crews over all Top three women crews Winners of the L Equipe evolution category will take the European Trophy which will be held by the winning country for a period of one year. The trophy shall be returned to the EIA before 207 championships. 9 DISCLAIMER All those taking part in the event do so at their own risk and responsibility. The Organizing Committee or any party involved with the organization of the event disclaims any and every responsibility whatsoever for loss, damage, injury or inconvenience that might occur to persons and goods, both ashore and at sea as a consequence of participation in the races covered by this Notice of Race. Attention is drawn to the RRS Fundamental Rule 4 Decision to Race, which states: The responsibility for a boat s decision to participate in a race or to continue racing is hers alone. 0 Media rights, electronic equipment and radio communication In participating in the regatta a competitor automatically grants to the Organizing Authority and the sponsors of the regatta the right in perpetuity to make use and show from time to time and at their discretion any motion pictures and live taped and other reproductions of him/her during the period of the competition and in all material related to the regatta without compensation.

4 Boats may be required to carry cameras, sound equipment or positioning equipment as specified by the organizing authority. Except in an emergency, a boat shall neither make radio transmissions while racing nor receive radio communications not available to all boats. This restriction also applies to mobile telephones.
