Quach, Minh Tri Special Counsel, Hanoi Minh Tri Quach is a seasoned Intellectual Property attorney with more than thirteen years of experience. He specializes in contentious IP matters including commercial and IP litigation, IP enforcement and commercial IP. Mr. Quach, who is well renowned for his practical expertise, has had articles published in Asia Law & Practice and other major publications in Japan. He also focuses on employment, privacy, internet, and information technology laws. Mr. Quach started his law practice career in Vietnam in 2006 and has acted as an IP agent before the National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam since 2004. His articles have been published in AsiaLaw & Practice and other major publications in Japan. He is frequently invited to speak at seminars and gives lectures to law students in both Vietnam and Japan. Le, Viet Hung Senior Patent Attorney, Hanoi Viet Hung Le is one of Vietnam s foremost experts on patents and Intellectual Property law. Before joining the Firm in 2007, Mr. Le worked as a senior legal expert for the Legislation Department of the National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam ( NOIP ). As a member of Vietnam's Delegation at the WTO, he was instrumental in negotiating Vietnam s accession to the WTO regarding IP matters and helped draft Vietnam s first IP law. Mr. Le s legal practice covers diverse aspects of patent prosecution and enforcement, IP law and international treaties, trademark disputes, parallel imports, unfair competition, licensing and trade secrets in Vietnam. In the realm of patent law, he represents various multinational pharmaceutical companies in combatting manufacturers, importers, and distributors of generic products in Vietnam and leads the Firm s patent prosecutions before the NOIP. Mr. Le, registered as an industrial property agent since 2010, is a graduate of the Hanoi University of Technology (Hanoi Polytechnic University), Vietnam (B.S. Chemical Engineering, 1995). Rose, Ciaran Registered Foreign Lawyer Hanoi Mr. Rose, who is registered to practice in Vietnam, qualified as a Barrister and was admitted to the Irish Bar, having obtained the degree of Barrister-at-Law in 2011 and the Diploma in Legal Studies in 2010, from the Honorable Society of King's Inns, Dublin. Mr. Rose also holds a B.A. in History and Philosophy, and speaks a basic level of French, in addition to his native English. Nga Nguyen is an IP counsel. Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Nguyen provided legal services support for trademark registrations, renewals and amendments, in her role as Legal Specialist for a local law firm. Bao Trung Duong's practice mainly focuses on intellectual property, IT, dispute resolution, investment law, privacy and internet law. Prior to joining the firm Mr Duong worked with a local IP firm. Mr. Duong has published articles in Vietnam and other major publications in Hong Kong and the United Kingdom. Mr. Duong received his LL.B degree with honors and was ranked as the top law student, summa cum laude, from Hanoi Law University. He speaks fluent English in addition to his native Vietnamese. Duong, Bao Trung Paralegal, Hanoi Phuong Trang Nguyen commenced her work with the Hanoi office as a Paralegal/Translator, focusing on patents, designs and IP enforcement. Nguyen, Thi Phuong Trang Paralegal, Hanoi Ms. Nguyen studied intellectual property law, in particular Patent & Breach of Confidence and Copyright & Designs, as part of her undergraduate programme. With an international perspective to her experience and academia, she graduated from King's College London, U.K. with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree before going on to complete the Legal Practice Course at the Judicial Academy of Vietnam. Mr. Luu works closely with the Market Management Bureau to verify the authenticity of products in the market, and follows procedures and protocols, required by authorities in IP Infringement cases. Anh Vu Chu is an IP clerk with the firm. He had served as an Intellectual Property Consultant and paralegal in two other local law firms respectively. Lien Nguyen manages the Global IP Manager (GIPM) docketing system to monitor trademarks, patents, industrial designs, licenses and assignment matters in Vietnam, which enables the IP team to successfully manage large portfolios for our multinational clients. Before joining the firm in 2009, Ms. Nguyen worked as a Secretary to the General Manager of a JV packaging company. Nguyen, Lien GIPM Database Administrator, Hanoi Ms. Nguyen graduated from Hanoi University of Foreign Studies (Hanoi University), Faculty of English Translation & Interpretation, in 2006. Thereafter, she obtained a Bachelor degree in International Economics at Hanoi Foreign Trade University in 2011. Additionally, Ms Nguyen completed a general module on Intellectual Property, run by the NOIP in collaboration with WIPO Academy. She speaks English in addition to her native Vietnamese. Van Nam Mac is a Canadian-Vietnamese paralegal and translator. Prior to joining the Firm in June 1994, he worked for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees as a translator/interpreter. Mr. Mac graduated from Sheridan College and worked in the real estate business in Canada before resettling in Vietnam. He speaks English, in addition to his native Vietnamese. Mac, Nam Van Chief Legal Translator, Hanoi Phuong Thao Nguyen joined the Firm s Hanoi office in October 2004 and became a legal translator in July 2006. Nguyen, Phuong Thao Translator, Hanoi Mr. Quoc Minh Truong joined Baker & McKenzie as a legal translator/paralegal in 2008.
