The History of Alkaff Mansion Located in the serene Telok Blangah Hill Park, Alkaff Mansion was built in 1918 and originally owned by the Alkaff family who were traders from Yemen. It was built primarily as a retreat for the family and to entertain their guests. In 19, renovation works were carried out to increase the mansion s built-in area to its current configuration. In the 1930s, Alkaff Mansion became widely known as a gathering place for notable members of society. In 1984, the land was acquired by the government for the development of a 33-hectare park and became a restaurant in 1990. Alkaff Mansion became known as a popular venue for events until 2003 when the mansion was handed over to the Singapore Land Authority (SLA) after its lease expired. Today, Alkaff Mansion is a conservation building and has been painstakingly restored to its former glory. Named Alkaff Mansion Ristorante, it houses an Italian restaurant, a stylish bar on the upper level and an al fresco dining area at the Terrace. A pair of ornate fountains, a romantic roofed gazebo, an outdoor terrace and a Grand Marquee on the mansion s courtyard dot the approximately 9,000 sq m premise promising a wide range of outdoor and indoor venues to accommodate events of any type and scale. Representing the epitome of destination dining in Singapore, Alkaff Mansion Ristorante promises only the best of a memorable dining experience.

Executive Chef, Simone Depalmas Born and raised in Italy with over 20 years of culinary experience, Chef Simone specialises primarily in seafood being a native of Sardinia, and has cooked for renowned figures including the Prime Minister of Italy. Chef Simone goes by his general rules of cooking: making his sauces from scratch; not using heavy butter or cream; and adopting different cooking techniques to bring out the natural flavours of his dish. he believes in presenting a true Italian taste and hopes to deliver a satisfying dining experience for all guests at Alkaff Mansion Ristorante. Jilly Wang, Director Ms Jilly Wang is the director and owner of LHN Culinary Concepts, the company that manages Alkaff Mansion Ristorante and Alkaff Mansion Catering. Her foray into the food and beverage industry began with both her husband and her passion for Italian cuisine after visiting Italy. Having tasted true Italian cuisine, they desired to bring the taste and dining experience of Italy to Singapore by starting Alkaff Mansion Ristorante. Together with Italian chef Simone Depalmas, Ms Wang aims to define Alkaff Mansion Ristorante as a top Italian restaurant in Singapore and offer guests the best of an authentic Italian dining experience.
