High Affinity Monoclonal Antibodies
Randox Life Sciences is a recognised primary manufacturer of high quality, cost-effective human recombinant proteins, polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies which can be used for a wide variety of research and development applications. Randox Life Sciences products are manufactured at our ISO 13485 certified manufacturing plant in the United Kingdom using state of the art facilities. Our product range includes over 200 antibodies and over 100 human recombinant proteins, including both classical and novel markers. The quality systems within Life Sciences are monitored regularly both internally and externally enabling us to provide reliable and consistent products of the highest quality. Monoclonal antibodies Randox Life Sciences produces monoclonal antibodies which offer several advantages over polyclonal antibodies: All Monoclonal antibodies within a batch consist of single antibody molecules that bind to a particular epitope on the antigen Monoclonal antibodies bind to only one epitope which allows the selection of certain desirable characteristics including: - Specificity - as the antibody only binds to one specific region, it is possible to produce a highly specific antibody for the required target. Alternatively, a generic antibody can also be produced that binds to a common epitope on all cross reactants - Affinity - each antibody molecule binds to the target with the same affinity therefore it is possible to produce monoclonal antibodies with extremely high affinity - Specific monoclonal antibodies can be produced in animals that are immunised with impure immunogen meaning undesirable cross reactivity can be eliminated General monoclonal specification Host Animal: Sheep Format: Purified high affinity monoclonal antibody ph: 7.2 Buffer: PBS Preservative: 0.09% Sodium Azide Method of Production: In vitro cell culture using standard DMEM media supplemented with foetal bovine serum of a USDA approved origin Method of Purification: Protein A Affinity Chromatography
