STRATEGIC WORKFORCE PLANNING Jill Lackey The war for talent, the pace of change, and a highly competitive and regulated environment are all factors that create the perfect storm in our industry today. How organizations respond to these challenges will determine whether they thrive or wither. Strategic Workforce Planning is one of the major processes to help credit unions mitigate risk, prepare for the future and execute their long-range plans. PANEL DISCUSSION: HAT TRICKS: HOW TO BALANCE WORK LIFE AS AN HR/TRAINING PROFESSIONAL Like any small or understaffed organization, credit union personnel often find themselves wearing many hats at work. One of those slash positions we see often is the human resources/ training professional. In this panel we ll discuss the challenges of this multi-faceted job, and share tips on how to stay balanced in your work life. His practice is focused on employment discrimination litigation for management, as well as representing management in traditional labor law issues and in wage & hour issues. SPEAKERS Reggie is a shareholder with the S.C.-based law firm of Turner Padget Graham & Laney. He s represented employers for the past 18 years, and is a certified specialist in labor & employment law and a certified mediator. Recently, he successfully defended a large manufacturer, winning a pre-trial dismissal and an appeal, in a $100 million class action lawsuit. Jonathan Martin, Keynote Speaker Connie E. Carrigan Connie is a partner at Smith Debnam Narron Drake Saintsing & Myers, LLP with a practice in the protection of business clients rights in the fields of employment law and commercial & business advice and litigation.
