About this document The OEM Marketing Asset Portal (OMAP) Quick Start Guide is designed to help users find their way around OMAP. Best practices, tips, and hints will be provided throughout the guide. What is the OEM Marketing Asset Portal (OMAP)? OMAP is Microsoft OEM Marketing s digital asset management portal that houses all of their creative marketing assets for external Partners and their Partner s advertising agencies. OMAP is based on the Microsoft Dynamics Marketing (MDM) platform. Site Enrollment and Access Access to OMAP is specific to OEM Marketing programs. Due to the sensitive nature of the content on the site, the enrollment process requires that each user is approved for access. Once the approval has been completed, the requestor will receive an email with their login name as well as their temporary password that they will need to change upon their initial login. O365 User/Login Credentials OMAP utilizes Office 365 (O365) authentication/verification. Note that this does NOT require user to have an existing O365 account. The O365 credentials are ONLY used for authentication. User will NOT receive the O365 suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) with their credentials. OMAP user account is SEPARATE from company s or personal O365 account. Logging in Once a user is approved for access to OMAP, they may login at https://msassets.marketing.dynamics.com/ using the O365 login credentials they received.
Frequently Asked Question/Issue with Login: I am having issues logging in with my O365 credentials If you have other O365 accounts, you must be logged out of them to access OMAP. If this does not work, then you will need to use InPrivate browsing when you login to OMAP. For Internet Explorer (IE), this can be done in 1 of 2 ways: 1) RIGHT clicking on the IE icon on your taskbar and selecting Start InPrivate Browsing 2) From the Tools menu, select InPrivate Browsing NOTE: If you are still have issues logging into OMAP, email omaps@microsoft.com for further assistance Browser Requirements OMAP/MDM follows the same support structure as Office 365 which supports all operating systems and browsers including IE, Chrome, Firefox and Safari. The current or immediately previous version of Internet Explorer or Firefox, or the latest version of Chrome or Safari Although Microsoft does not recommend that you connect to Office 365 by using older browsers and clients, we provide limited support so long as that software is supported by its manufacturer. Specifically, if you continue to use older browsers and clients Silverlight details: Silverlight is applicable to all browsers, but handled differently (Safari and Chrome in particular). It would be installed as an extension and if that extension is missing, the browser should either install it for you or inform you, it needs to be installed.
Silverlight- Prerequisite step in OMAP/MDM: Step1: Click on Settings > About Step2: Page will load Silverlight Setup information > If Silverlight is enabled it will complete the page load successfully and you will see Right-click to install Trusted mode Accessing OMAP OMAP is based on the Microsoft Dynamics Marketing (MDM) platform, so when users login, they will directed to the MDM Portal Page Users will click on the down V to the right of Home and select the ASSETS & MEDIA tile
Users will then Files from the dropdown The OMAP Asset window will open
OMAP User Interface Left File Tree: Users can expand the File Tree to navigate to the specific folder for the asset(s) being searched. Upper Bread Crumb : Once a user has expanded the folders in the Left File Tree, a bread crumb navigation will build along the top of OMAP allowing users easy access to any of the folders they have last opened/navigated.
Search: Users can quickly search for Asset Names, Keywords, Aspect Ratios, etc. by entering these into the search box and selecting the Go button Asset Thumbnail Size: Users can choose from 3 different Thumbnail sizes (Grid, Small, Large) to help them narrow down what assets are appropriate for their need
Customize View: Users can customize the view/categories that they would like to see in their window. Once the user makes these changes, this will become the customized default setting. To do this, the user will click on the in the upper right corner of the OMAP window which will open up the Customize Columns window with all the available columns
Downloading Assets Step 1: Once the user has found the asset that they need to download, they would Right click on the asset Name which will open up a window and the user will select Download Step 2: Depending on the browser the user is using, a dialog box will open with the options of Open, Save or Cancel Help & Support: If a user is having any issues with OMAP, they should email omaps@microsoft.com for assistance Training Link FAQ
