1. What is Cloud PC Backup? Cloud PC Backup is a secure and reliable backup solution for your business needs. Through the easy-touse Cloud PC Backup client interface, you can customize your file selection and backup scheduling. The Cloud PC Backup service saves 90 days of data history for each file you back up. In the event that you need to restore files (in the case of computer failure, loss, etc.), Cloud PC Backup makes it easy to recover the data via client or via the web if you don t have access to your computer anymore. Cloud PC Backup encrypts your data locally before it is sent to the data centers over an SSL connection. Your backups are then stored in the data center with either 448-bit Blowfish or 256-bit AES encryption to ensure your data is protected. Cloud PC Backup also enables you to view your backed up files from your mobile devices. Applications, available on Play Store and on the App Store, will bring your most important files along with your smartphone. You will always have the most important files of your PC at your disposal. 2. Install Cloud PC Backup In a few minutes, you will be able to install and activate your Cloud PC Backup account. 1. Download the Cloud PC Backup application by typing in your web browser s address bar http://login.becloudpcbackup.belgacom.be/downloads/belgacomsetup.exe for Windows (or http://login.becloudpcbackup.belgacom.be/downloads/belgacomsetup.dmg for Mac), then press Enter. 2. A pop-up appears, click Run. A new pop-up will appear. Click Run again. 3. The Cloud PC Backup Setup Wizard appears. 4. If you do not want to change the location where the software will be installed, click Next. Otherwise, check the Choose a different install location checkbox and click Next. 5. Go through the license agreement and click Install. 6. Enter the license key mentioned in the welcome mail and the email address to which the welcome mail was sent. Click Next. 7. Enter your full name and a password. The password should at least count 8 characters. Click Next. 8. Cloud PC Backup scans your hard drive for data files and groups them by common file types into backup sets. If the selected files exceed your account limit, you can deselect files until you are under your limit. 9. (Optional) If you want to change your encryption (i.e. not using the default Cloud PC Backup Encryption Key, 448-bit Blowfish encryption), you need to click Change Encryption. Caution: If you select Use a private key, you are responsible for remembering that key. If you forget your personal key, you will not be able to access your backed up files when they are restored. 10. Click Next. 11. The client will estimate the duration of the initial backup. If you want to change your settings and/or the selection of files to be backed up, click Settings. Otherwise, click Finish and your first backup will start. 12. You can access the Status window by double-clicking the Cloud PC Backup icon in your system tray. 3.2 Cloud PC Backup Settings The Cloud PC Backup Settings window allows you to set additional configuration options such as choosing specific files to back up, when you want backups to take place, and what alerts you want displayed, To access the Cloud PC Backup Settings window, right-click the Cloud PC Backup icon ( system tray, click Settings, then click More Settings. ) in your VAT BE 0202.239.951, Brussels Register of Legal Entities, Giro BE50 0001 7100 3118 BPOTBEB1 Page 6 of 17

4. Select the files you want to backup There are 2 ways to select the files you want to backup. Both ways are accessible by clicking the Settings button (during the installation procedure as described above or on the Status window). 4.1 Backup Sets Backup sets let you easily select files to back up according to file type in specified directories. Each time a new file of a type you have selected for backup is saved to your computer, Cloud PC Backup automatically selects that file for all subsequent backups. For example, selecting the check box for the Word Processing Documents backup set automatically backs up all Microsoft Word, OpenOffice.org, WordPerfect, Adobe Acrobat, and text files on your computer under the My Documents and Desktop folders. All subsequent files saved to your computer in these folders with the same file extensions are automatically added to your backups. All traditional backup sets are pre-installed and ready-to-use, but you can create your own backup sets if you want: 1. Right-click in the left pane, and click Add Backup Set. 2. A new window appears. 3. At the top, give a name to your backup set in the field Backup Set Name. You can choose the parameters that Cloud PC Backup uses to determine when to start an automatic backup. These parameters are cumulative, meaning that all conditions must be met before a backup starts or resumes. Scheduled: Backups occur at the time you select.
