UIC ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Earning Your UIC BSN Degree An Associate in Applied Science Nursing Degree (ADN) A current RN license issued in the U.S. A cumulative non-nursing GPA of 2.75 (.0 grading scale) and no less than a C in all required coursework A cumulative GPA of 2.5 (.0 grading scale) in all natural science courses Completion of all General Education requirements (prerequisite courses) UIC COLLEGE OF NURSING PREREQUISITE COURSES 57 Before you begin the RN-BSN program at UIC, you will need to complete 57 hours of general education requirements (prerequisite courses). You will earn most of these hours at your community college through your ADN program. However, one of the requirements is an upper division course (a 00/00 level course), which must be completed at a four-year institution. The upper division course does not need to be completed prior to being admitted to the UIC program, but it must be completed before you graduate from UIC s RN-BSN program.
