ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR SENIOR COLLEGE PROGRAM (e.g., minimum GPA, audition/portfolio): The Mercy College Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is designed for registered nurses with associate degrees or diplomas in nursing planning to return to school for a bachelor's degree. The program is available at the Dobbs Ferry campus as well as on-line. Students must have completed an Associates degree with an overall GPA of 2.75 For eligibility to NURS366 and higher, students must have passed the NCLEX exam and hold a valid license to practice as a registered nurse in the US. Only grades of C or better may be applied toward major courses. Grades of C-, D+ and D may be used to fulfill General Education requirements and elective credit only. Associate in Applied Science Degree from Bronx Community College. Bronx Community College graduates with the Associate Degree in Nursing will receive 67 credits toward the Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Mercy College. In addition, they will be deemed to have met all lower division general education requirements at Mercy College. Students must meet the New York State requirement of 60 credits in designated liberal arts and sciences courses for a B.S. degree Total transfer credits granted toward the baccalaureate degree: 67 Total additional credits required at the senior college to complete baccalaureate degree: 60 1

5 E. ARTICULATION AGREEMENT FOLLOW-UP PROCEDURES 1. Procedures for reviewing, up-dating, modifying or terminating agreement: Bronx Community College and Mercy College will review implementation of the agreement in two years to ensure that students are adequately informed of the program and to identify issues requiring attention. Each party must give one year s notice to terminate an agreement. Both Mercy and Bronx Community College will notify each other immediately regarding any changes in the curriculum. 2. Procedures for evaluating agreement, e.g., tracking the number of students who transfer under the articulation agreement and their success: Mercy College will furnish Bronx Community College with a list of graduates who have registered for classes each Fall and Spring. Each June, Mercy College will supply a list of Mercy College graduates who transferred in with an associate s degree from Bronx Community College. 3. Sending and receiving college procedures for publicizing agreement, e.g., college catalogs, transfer advisers, Websites, etc.: Mercy College will be invited to partake in all transfer activities scheduled at Bronx Community College, as well as any special transfer activities decided upon by both Mercy and Bronx CC. Bronx Community College will publish all articulation agreements with Mercy College on their website. In addition, groups of BCC students will be invited regularly to Mercy College for special events, to partake in classes, and to meet with faculty and advisors. Mercy will have a link on their website for Bronx Community College students to review articulations as well. F. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION students are eligible to apply for financial aid that is normally available to other junior class students. Scholarships awarded to transfer students are awarded on the basis of previous academic performance, demonstrated financial need and the student s potential contribution to the intellectual life of the College. Trustees Scholarship - s Scholarships are awarded to outstanding entering transfer students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.7 or above, and an Associate's Degree. Scholarship awards are renewable for the duration of the undergraduate degree as long as the recipient meets the conditions for retaining the award. Application may be made during the interview with your Admissions Counselor. President's Scholarship Scholarships are awarded to outstanding entering transfer students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.4 to 3.69 or above, and an Associate's Degree. Scholarship awards are renewable for the duration of the undergraduate degree as long as the recipient meets the conditions for retaining the award. Application may be made during the interview with your Admissions Counselor. Provost Scholarship Scholarships are awarded to outstanding entering transfer students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 to 3.39 or above, and an Associate's Degree. Scholarship awards are renewable for the duration of the undergraduate degree as long as the recipient meets the conditions for retaining the award. Application may be made during the interview with your Admissions Counselor NYSTAA Scholarship Mercy College is a member of the New York State Articulation Association and eligible transfer students may apply for the NYSTAA scholarship.
