1 This document 1.1 Validity This documentation applies to the video recording and analysing device DVS 1600. It has been produced on basis of software version 7.2.0. 1.2 Documents The video recording and analysing device DVS 1600 is based on a DMS 240 recorder that has been enhanced with various video analysing functions. The documentations on commissioning, configuration and operation are valid accordingly. Commissioning (DMS 240) The document entitled Commissioning contains the most important steps for the connection and commissioning of the device. Main Functions (DMS 240) The document entitled Main Functions contains descriptions on how to operate the essential functions of the device. The target audience of this document is the operator. No special technical knowledge is required. Operation (DMS 240) The document entitled Operation contains detailed descriptions on how to operate the unit. General information on the appropriate use and maintenance is also provided. The target audience of this document is the operator of the unit. No special technical knowledge is required. Configuration and Data (DMS 240) The document entitled Configuration and Data contains the most important step for the configuration of the device. Safety notes, general information and technical data are additionally provided. The target audience of this document is exclusively specially trained and authorized professionals ( installers ). Configuration (DVS 1600) (this document) The document entitled Configuration contains the most important amendments to the documentation Configuration and Data (DMS 240). The target audience of this document is exclusively specially trained and authorized professionals ( installers ). Online Help (DVS 1600) The Online Help contains the important descriptions for the configuration of the analysis modules of the device. 2 General notes 2.1 Scope of Delivery Included in the standard scope of delivery is: 1x Recorder including HDD s (as ordered) 1x Dallmeier mouse (optical, small version) 1x Power cable 1x Audio IN cable set (as ordered) 2x 9-pin D-SUB interfaces with housing 5x 8-pin Weidmüller plug connector 1x 10-pin Weidmüller plug connector 1x Spare set of filters (5 filters) 1x DVD +R 1x Documentations (CD) The scope of delivery may differ depending on the ordered equipment or device variant. The device s range of functions depends on the ordered equipment or device variant and may therefore not correspond with this document s content. Certain functions and features may require an activation that is subject to costs. 2.2 Transportation and Packaging Store the original packaging for transportation at a later date. Dallmeier electronic is not responsible for damage resulting from unprofessional/improper transportation. The goods should only be shipped in their original packaging. If the original packaging is no longer available, ensure that the packaging used sufficiently protects the unit against damage, moisture, heat and cold. 2.3 Warranty The terms and conditions valid at the signing of the contract shall apply. www.dallmeier.com 5
3 Video Recording The configuration of the video recording can be made with the graphical user interface of the recorder or with the NetConfig software via network. Observe the corresponding documentations for the DMS 240 recorder. The following explanations refer to special settings required for the video analysis. 3.1 Search Criteria Analysis data (e.g. position data, object rectangle) is always stored with the corresponding images as a search criteria. Open the Search Criteria dialogue via Setup / Recording / Search Criteria. Activate the following IDs. ID:6 - Status ID:8 - Date ID:9 - Time ID:10030 Sedor data 3.2 Recording Mode "Contact" In the Contact mode, recording will be started if the SEDOR analysis detects an event. The duration of the recording depends on the set Option of the recording mode. Observe the configuration of alarm hosts with the SEDOR configuration interface (see in the following). 3.3 Recording Mode Permanent In the Permanent mode, recording is made continuously. The corresponding images are marked and additional event data is stored if the SEDOR analysis detects an event. 4 Video Analyses The configuration of the video analysis is made with the graphical user interface Sedor- Webgui of the recorder via network (browser). 4.1 Connection Preparations Before you start with the adjustments for video analysis group passwords and network parameters of the recorder have to be set up. Please observe the corresponding documentation Commissioning. Please connect the recorder to the network. Put the recorder into operation (please see documentation Commissioning). Adjust the required group passwords. Adjust the network parameters (ip address). Connection The configuration of the video analysis is carried out with a PC / browser via the network. Ensure that the recorder is reachable via network. Start the browser. Enter the ip address of the recorder into the address line. Confirm with the ENTER button. The connection to the recorder is made. The login dialogue is displayed. Enter the login data. Confirm with OK. In the default status following login data is valid: User name: service Password: 6 www.dallmeier.com 7

4.2.1 Configuration Wizard The configuration wizard is available for the configuration of the analysis. Click the button Configuration Wizard (C). The assistant will be started in the input section. Fig. 4-2 Configuration Wizard Follow the single configuration steps of the assistant. Close the configuration of the analysis with button Finish. 4.2.2 Analysis Monitor The analysis monitor allows the control and optimisation of an analysis. Select the view List of Analyses. A Fig. 4-4 List of Analyses B Select the relevant analysis (A). 4.2.3 Online Help The integrated Online Help offers detailed information for the configuration of analysis. The complete documentation will be shown after clicking the button Help (see fig. 4-1 / C).
