SAIC CORPORATE PARTNERS PROGRAM

Inspire Visionary Ideas. Invest in Future Creative Leaders. Become a Corporate Partner with SAIC. The School of the Art Institute of Chicago s (SAIC) Corporate Partners Program is an opportunity for the business community to engage with a world-class art and design university to advance culture and innovative thinking. Throughout the past 150 years, SAIC has been a leader in educating artists, designers, and scholars. Presently, SAIC offers nationally accredited undergraduate and graduate degrees to 3,500 students from 46 countries. SAIC s institutional resources include the worldrenowned Art Institute of Chicago. SAIC s students, faculty, and alumni have made significant contributions to art, design, and scholarship since 1866. From its inception, SAIC has provided students with an excellent art education that prepares them for success in a variety of careers. SAIC s interdisciplinary approach empowers students and faculty to work across boundaries to tackle problems with creative solutions from product design to market research, from issues of sustainability to education and community outreach. As a Corporate Partner, you will contribute to the academic and professional development of the next generation of artists and designers while advancing SAIC s impact on the cultural and intellectual landscapes of the places where faculty, students, and alumni live and work. Top two of 220 fine arts graduate programs 2013 U.S. News and World Report The most influential art school in the United States 2002 Columbia University s Art Critics National Arts Journalism Survey Four graduate disciplines (Painting and Drawing, Photography, Sculpture, Visual Communication Design) rank in the top three in the nation 2013 U.S. News and World Report One of the top producers of Fulbright Scholars among specialized institutions (2012 13) The Chronicle of Higher Education

Engage with SAIC SAIC s Corporate Partners Program provides talented youth from underserved communities with student scholarships, quality arts programming, and real work experience. Support the Next Generation of Artists and Designers The desire and talent to experience and produce meaningful work should not be limited to those with the financial means to nurture and develop this drive. More than 70 percent of SAIC students receive financial aid. The Corporate Partners Program will help sustain our commitment to attract and support qualified students from diverse economic backgrounds. Scholarship support has a profound impact on the lives of SAIC students. Scholarships like the Walter & Shirley Massey Chicago Fund and the Goldman Sachs Scholarship provide students with the resources to fully realize their dreams to attend SAIC. I love SAIC because it grants me the freedom to experiment across media so I can gain a variety of experiences as I try to find my own path. I will be forever grateful for the opportunity the Massey Fund has given me, so thank you for investing in me. I ll work hard to pay it forward. - Alexandra Terry (BFA 2018) I was given an opportunity by Goldman Sachs, and as a result, I find myself wanting to help others achieve their goals and find their own great opportunities. I believe this scholarship makes better artists, students, people, and citizens. I now possess the confidence to reach toward higher goals, to speak with people I didn t feel strong enough as an artist to interact with, and to pull new practices into my existing ones. Engage with Emerging Artists and Designers Throughout the past 150 years, SAIC has helped youth develop the creative thinking skills to achieve success in a variety of careers. SAIC continues this important work through programs like the Early College Program Summer Institute (ECPSI) and the College Arts Access Program (CAAP). SAIC s Early College Program Summer Institute (ECPSI) offers high school students the opportunity to develop their skills in art, design, and writing. Students from as far as London, Singapore, India, Mexico, China, and Turkey immerse themselves in SAIC s downtown community and take two- and four-week courses in animation, architecture, and art and technology. ECPSI also attracts students from across the US, including those from California, Texas, Iowa, New York, and Connecticut. SAIC s College Arts Access Program (CAAP) is a three-year college bridge program designed for Chicago Public School (CPS) students dedicated to studying art and design. CAAP prepares them with the skills needed for admission to SAIC or another college of their choice. I had an incredible time at SAIC I did not want to leave! Being surrounded by creative individuals from a variety of disciplines was exciting and empowering. Learning about your passion in class, staying up late in the studio brainstorming, exploring the city of Chicago with friends, swimming in Lake Michigan I cannot imagine a better summer program. - Alejandro Nodarse (ECPSI alum) - Amanda Taves (BFA 2016)
