ilearning Categories In ilearning, categories help ESC-20 clients easily locate the sessions in which they are interested. The following user guide explains the following: How to search for upcoming sessions o Search by category o Search by keyword o Search by date o Search for online sessions How to enroll in sessions o How to log into ilearning o How to retrieve a lost user name and/or password o How to build a new ilearning account How to print a workshop catalog o How to print the entire catalog o How to print a customized catalog How to import a workshop into personal calendars o How to import into Microsoft Outlook o How to import into Google calendar How to search for upcoming sessions Go to the ESC-20 home page (www.esc20.net). Click on the ilearning link. 2

Methods of searching: Search by Calender Search by Category Search All Workshops Search Online Workshops To search by CALENDAR: Click on search by calendar listed on the left. All Categories will be listed on the left side of the calendar. 3

To search by Category: Click on a category listed and it will expand to reveal subcategories. All upcoming sessions listed under those subcategories are displayed on the calendar. To view upcoming sessions for a specific subcategory only, click on the name of that subcategory. To view details about a specific session, click on the session title. The session details will display. To enroll into the session, use the Login fields on the right. To return to the calendar, click on the RETURN button. To send the session details to a friend, click on the e-mail icon. To add the session to your calendar, click on the calendar icon. To print the session details, click on the printer icon. 4

To search by KEYWORD: Click on All Categories. Type a keyword into the Search field. Click on the SEARCH button. The upcoming sessions that match that keyword will appear on the calendar. Click on a session title to view more details. To search by DATE: Click on the down arrow next to the Select Date field. Select the desired month. Click on the GO button. 5

The selected month will display. Use the scroll bar to view the entire month. Use the NEXT and PREVIOUS buttons to view other months. Use the TODAY button to return to the current month. To view ONLINE sessions: Click on the ONLINE WORKSHOPS button. 6

A list of all available online workshops will appear. To search by keyword: enter a keyword in the search field and click the SEARCH button. To sort the sessions by workshop title, workshop number, or price: click on the corresponding column header. To view session details: click on the VIEW link that corresponds to the desired session. To return to the main calendar: click the RETURN button. 7

How to enroll in sessions Once a desired session has been located, enrollment must be completed through ilearning. Log into ilearning using a valid user name and password. Click the LOGIN button to be redirected to ilearning. 8

The workshop details will appear. To enroll, click on the BUY button (even if the workshop is free, this button must be clicked.) On this screen, click on the SUBMIT button. Note: the base price of the workshop will always appear on this screen, even for co-op members. The co-op discount will be reflected on the next screen. 9

Review the top portion of the screen to ensure all information is correct. To pay by credit card: click on the Credit Card button. To pay by check, PO, or money order: fill out the lower section. For free workshops: proceed to the next screen. ALL USERS: click the bottom button to proceed to the next step. 10

On this screen, review the enrollment. Once you click on the button that reads Click Here to Complete Enrollment, you will be prompted to print out this page, which will serve as a confirmation, as well as the paperwork necessary for your business office to generate a purchase order or district check, if required. This is also the screen Click the button at the top to complete enrollment. IMPORTANT: This button MUST be clicked for enrollment to be completed. 11

A confirmation screen will appear to confirm successful enrollment in the session. You have the option to download the schedule and view in your icalendar. You will also be given the option to unenroll, in case you registered for this session in error, or have changed your mind to attend. 12

To retrieve a lost password (or user name): While viewing the workshop details, click on the FORGOT PASSWORD? Link. Enter ilearning user name into the USERNAME field. Click the NEXT button to continue. NOTE: if you have forgotten ilearning user name, please call Registration at (210) 370-5671 and request assistance. For your convenience, Registration is open M-F, 7:30 AM 5:00 PM. 13

The password challenge question will appear. (Note: this question was set up by the user when the account was created.) Type in the correct answer to the password challenge question. (This is case sensitive, so enter the answer using correct upper and lower case.) Click the NEXT button. If the password challenge question was correctly answered, a success message will appear. A reset password will be sent to the e-mail address on file for this account. If the answer is incorrect, or if the password challenge question/answer has been forgotten, please call Registration at (210) 370-5671 and request assistance. For your convenience, Registration is open M-F, 7:30 AM 5:00 PM. 14

To build a new ilearning account: NOTE: if you already have an ilearning account, do not build a new one. Call (210) 370-5671 to retrieve your user name and password. While viewing the workshop details, click on the CLICK HERE TO REGISTER link. 15

Fill out provided fields. (Use the right scroll bar to view the lower half of the form.) When completed, click the NEXT button ONLY ONCE and wait while the system processes this request. Double-clicking on the NEXT button creates an account the first time you click it and then attempts to create another account with the same username the second time you click on it. This creates an error. 16

A confirmation page will display to indicate that the account creation was successful. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e- mail address on file for this account. 17

How to print a customized workshop catalog Click on the WORKSHOPS LIST button. A list of all upcoming workshops will open. To print the entire catalog of upcoming workshops: Scroll to the bottom of the screen (using the left scroll bar.) Click on the PDF CATALOG button to view the workshop list as a PDF file. 18

The PDF file will open in a new window. Click on the PRINT icon to print the catalog. To print a customized catalog: On the Workshops List page, use the options at the top of the list to customize the catalog: In the SEARCH field, enter the desired subject or keyword. Filter the search results to show only Free or online workshops using the provided checkboxes. Click the SEARCH button to view search results. The results will appear. Scroll to the bottom of the screen (using the left scroll bar.) Click on the PDF CATALOG button to view the workshop list as a PDF file. 19

The PDF file will open in a new window. Click on the PRINT icon to print the catalog. How to import a workshop into personal calendars Once enrolled into a session, a workshop participant my import the session details into Either Microsoft Outlook or Google Calendar as an appointment. The following steps demonstrate this process. NOTE: The session details cannot be imported if the user is not currently enrolled in the session. Only enrolled participants can download the session details. 20

After a participant has enrolled into a session, they will receive an e-mail with the workshop details. This e-mail will have an appointment file attached to it. This file can be downloaded into the participant s Microsoft Outlook or Google calendar as an appointment. To download the appointment into Microsoft Outlook: With the confirmation e-mail open, right click on the attached calendar file. Select OPEN. 21

The file will open as a new calendar appointment. The correct date and time will appear on the appointment. Click on the SAVE AND CLOSE button. The appointment will now appear on the Microsoft Outlook calendar. 22

To download the appointment into Google calendar: Open a web browser, and navigate to Google Mail. Log into your Google Mail. With the confirmation e-mail open, click on Add to calendar link. After clicking the CALENDAR link, click on SAVE. 23

The calendar will open. On the top right side of the screen, click on the SETTINGS you want to view, i.e. day, week, month, 4 days, and agenda. The workshop session will now appear on the Google Calendar, which asks Going? and you select your reply. 24
