Parts Manufacture AAF have continued to be at the forefront of fabrication of steel profiles and plate work ensuring we meet our customer needs for quality and cost effectiveness. With ever changing materials and processes the need for investment in plant and equipment is essential. Some of our most recent investments include: State of the art Bystronic Laser cutting machine State of the art Bystronic 5 meter 320 tonne press break State of the art Plate bending rolls Bystronic Laser Cutting Accurate to fractions of a millimetre, our Bystronic laser allows us to efficiently and accurately profile intricate, components with minimum heat transfer and distortion in a range of materials and thicknesses. Common materials include aluminium, carbon steels (low and high tensile), austenitic and ferritic stainless steels. Bystronic Press Break Complementing our Bystronic laser, is the Bystronic press break which shares CNC programmes, ensuring high precision bend quality and improved efficiency. Plate Bending Rolls Utilising CNC controlled rolls, we are capable of accurately and efficiently rolling carbon steel widths of 2.5m 12.0mm thick and stainless steel widths of 2.5m 8.0mm thick. We can also roll narrower plate widths up to a maximum of 16mm thick. General Capability Laser cutting part blanks of 2,000mm x 4,000mm Laser cutting part thicknesses from 0.5mm to 20mm Cutting materials of greater thickness is performed at a local water cutting contractor Breaking parts up to 5,000mm wide. Breaking parts from 1mm to 20mm thick. Roll forming parts up to 2,550mm wide. Roll forming thicknesses from 1mm to 16mm. Rolling & breaking of greater thicknesses is performed at a local contractor Iron working equipment for processing of profiles, steelwork and sections.

The main trades within the facility include fabricators, welders, blasters, painters, mechanical and electrical fitters. Migatronic Welding Equipment All our coded welders have a wide range of qualifications in MIG, MAG, TIG and Pulse. Our Migatronic welding technology produces quality welding, with reduced distortion and spatter, normally associated with the MIG / MAG process. This equipment also provides the welder with the use of single and double pulse welding technology for low heat and almost distortion free welding, ideal when welding materials such as aluminium. Surface Protection Our core business of supplying equipment to demanding industries in the harshest of environments in the world means we can assure you of correct application and finish every time. We pride ourselves on our ability to satisfy any customer need regarding wet paint application. We can also offer paint systems for aluminium substrates. Over 45 years experience provides a wealth of knowledge in paint process and coatings.
