(B&W) introduces the TSSG boiler with multi-circulation capability for SAGD applications. Designed as a solution for the oil sands market, the TSSG multi-circulation (MC) boiler responds to the needs of the Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) and other in situ processes. B&W s TSSG boiler is bottom supported and features a unique modularized design that maximizes shop assembly and provides certainty to delivery and overall project schedule. 5 How It Works Water side deposition rates are dependant on heat flux and dissolved solids concentration in the boiler water. The TSSG MC design allows boiler water with the lowest concentration of dissolved solids to circulate in the high heat flux zones and water with the highest concentration of dissolved solids to circulate in the low heat flux zone. Deposition in the low heat flux zone is not problematic due to low operating tube temperatures. The design provides full access for mechanical cleaning of the inside surface of tubes in the low heat flux zone. The Modular Advantage The TSSG boiler is a highly modular solution, making it a comprehensive solution for projects where construction risks and costs are prohibitive. The boiler and platforms are modularized into sizes to accommodate site infrastructure or maximum shipping limitations on land or sea.
