2 THE COMPANY The Joint Perforating Company, established in 2001 has re-invented the perforating process. Traditionally, perforated tube is manufactured through a lengthy operation starting with flat strip, going through four stages before reaching the end result. Our process perforates pre-formed tube in one operation, saving time, costs and providing an end result that also visually enhances the product. This combination makes JPC the preferred choice within the automotive and domestic appliance markets. Using the latest manufacturing technology, JPC provides effective perforating in a variety of materials including stainless steel, titanium, mild steel and aluminised zinc coated steel from 32mm to 80mm outside diameter in lengths up to 1000mm long. Our innovative tool design also allows tube perforation in various patterns that can be tailored to our individual client s requirements. Located in the midlands, JPC is ideally served by the motorway network to seamlessly cover all areas of the country utilizing its own transport fleet. In addition, JPC operates almost daily despatches to mainland Europe and is able to comply with the most rigorous of delivery demands. 2 3

3 PRODUCTS JPC specialise in the manufacture of perforated tubes in a variety of materials including stainless steel (ferritic and austenitic), titanium, mild steel and aluminised zinc coated steel, all of which are generally available from stock. Alternatively free issue material can be considered. Sizes begin at 32mm OD with capabilities to produce up to and including 101.6mm OD in both metric and imperial measurements. Wall thicknesses are available up to 2.00mm. Component lengths can range from 100mm up to 1000mm however longer lengths can be considered upon request. Stainless Steel (Ferritic & Austenitic) Aluminised Steel Mild Steel Titanium The process JPC employs perforates pre-formed tubes as opposed to the traditional method of perforating and rolling flat product. This method makes customisation of parts easy and allows us to offer almost any combination of pattern both quickly and in most cases without the additional cost of expensive tooling. In addition to standard round holes ranging from 3.00mm to 20.00mm we are also able to supply tubes perforated with slots in varying lengths and widths. To complement our range our perforated tubes, JPC offers a full range of in-house manipulation and bending services which enable us to offer fully finished parts without the reliance of using sub contract suppliers the effect of which results in JPC having total control of the product from the start to end process ensuring both consistent high quality product and reliable on-time deliveries. 4 5

4 SERVICES QUALITY CUTTING JPC has invested heavily in new equipment and one such investment has been the purchase of a highly sophisticated and totally automated cutting and deburring line. Cutting to specific lengths is controlled to +/- 0.50mm and constant capability studies are carried out to ensure compliance. This reaffirms JPC's commitment to quality and underlines their philosophy of keeping all manufacturing processes in-house. PERFORATING JPC has a total of four dedicated perforating machines each of which is fitted with a fully automatic bunker loading system allowing smooth trouble free manufacturing from start to finish. All machines are fitted with the latest CNC technology coupled with brushless electrical motors for precise positioning ensuring accurate components are realized every time. Tooling is manufactured in-house ensuring we have total control of the product and its design from conception to completion. Due to our extensive library of tooling most designs can be produced either from existing tooling or by the addition of a small modification which in most cases is relatively inexpensive. MANIPULATION The most recent addition to JPC s capabilities has been the introduction of tube manipulation and bending equipment. This compliments our range of perforated tubes and once again fits our philosophy of keeping all operations in-house and ensures total control at all stages of manufacture. We are able to offer end formed tubes in a wide variety of finishes including flaring, reducing, bulging, sizing and cruciforming. In addition we operate both mandrel bending and press bending machines enabling us to offer our customers finished components ready for assembly. QUALITY CONTROL JPC are fully committed to quality in all aspects of our business ensuring total customer satisfaction. We invest both time and resources to ensure all our personnel are fully trained, and we are continually improving both our processes and policies to ensure both efficiency and satisfaction of a superior product can be passed onto our customers. JPC are fully accredited to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 are currently in preparation for obtaining TS16949 during To secure product quality and program timing, the automotive industry tools Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) are applied. The requirements form the basis of our project management system which creates a smooth transition from enquiry to full production. 6 7
