Information Pack 2015 GUMBALL The Gumball Rally is back for its third year and we are off to the Emerald isle. Over the past couple of years the rally has raised 118,000 for our chosen charities. The event provides an excellent opportunity for participants to network with other insurance professionals as well as having some fun along the way. This initial information pack is here to provide you with high level details for the event. Please take some time and read this thoroughly as some of ferry bookings and hotel reservations are only held for a limited period of time CHARITIES: The principle objective of this event to raise money for charity. In 2015 we will again be supporting three very worthwhile charities splitting the funds equally across them. www.rainbowtrust.org.uk www.papyrus uk.org www.stlukeshospice.org.uk ENTRY: Entry to the event is by invitation only from the Gumball committee and there will be a maximum of 50 vehicles. Each team will be required to commit to raising a minimum of 1,500 for the Gumball charities. This needs to be raised (or you commit to donate this sum) by 1 st June or your place will be offered elsewhere to those on the waiting list. Your fundraising should be paid via setting up a fundraising page through www.virginmoneygiving.com. Please ensure that you set up your page to share the donations equally between all three charities. We can provide some support with setting up your charity fundraising page for your team to assist your fundraising. VEHICLE CRITERIA: As this year s event is visiting Ireland, the vehicle criteria is set to match the venue: Car must be Green = Standard entry fee ( 1,500) Car and Occupants must be Irish themed = Penalty entry fee ( 1,750) There are no age or value restrictions this year.

EVENT DATE / ROUTE: The HBC/AGS Gumball 2015 will be held over the weekend of Friday 26 th June to Monday 29 th June. There is an optional leg on the evening of Thursday 26 th June for those that would like to attend the pre start bar b q. We will be undertaking a loop through the Republic of Ireland, leaving from Portmeirion Village (Porthmadog), crossing from Hollyhead to Dublin by ferry, stopping at Galway, Killarney and Wexford before returning to the UK vie ferry from Rosslare to Pembroke. ITINERARY: Thursday 25 th June: Accommodation (Optional) Sponsored by Acorn Vehicle Solutions Pre Event Bar B Q From 7pm Acorn Vehicle Solutions will be hosting the evening with a Bar B Q at Portmeirion village and grounds, Minfford, Portmadog LL48 6ER We have 25 rooms held at the Portmeirion Hotel, Castell Deudraeth and Village until 31 st Jan. These need to be booked on a first come first serve basis as they will not be held any longer. Free entry to the Village has been extended to all Gumball participants not staying at the venue and we can arrange for some cars to be taken into the village for publicity shots if required

9.30 am Official Start Time Depart Castell Deudraeth travelling to Holyhead, where all participants should cross to Ireland by Irish Ferries. 11.50 am Catch Irish Ferries crossing to Dublin. Please see details below re Ferry arrangements. Note: The next ferry departs Holyhead at 14:10 if you miss this crossing. From Dublin we will travel across Ireland to Galway. From Pembroke you are free to make your journeys home FERRY ARRANGEMENTS: We will be using Irish Ferries to cross to and from Ireland. Please note that the outbound and return journeys will be different: Outbound = Holyhead to Dublin Return = Rosslare to Pembroke. We have negotiated a discounted rate of 227.50 return for a car and two passengers; this represents a discount of 90 against the standard retail rate Booking should be made via clubdeals@irishferries.com. These must be signed by each person participating and returned prior to departure. Failure to return will result in non participation.

EXPENSES: As this principle objective of the weekend is to raise money for charity, please note that with the exception of the sponsored evening events this rally is self funding. You will be responsible for the following during the event: Cost of Car Entry Fee Charitable Donation ( 1,500) Ferry cost Accommodation Fuel Car Insurance Food / Drink (outside of any sponsored events) Toll Costs Parking Fines if applicable!! Please feel free to decorate your cars as you wish beyond this.
