The Country Hotel Relais Monaco is an oasis of peace and quietness just few minutes out of Treviso, the heart of the so called Marca Gioiosa. The long central avenue, flanked by rows of old vineyards, leads to the heart of the property, where the majestic ancient Villa Persico Guarnieri, now known as Relais Monaco, stands. The Villa is distinguished by its elegant 19 th century architecture, with its barchesse (porticoes) on the sides and the adjoining new wings, designed by the architect Tobia Scarpa, that are perfectly integrated in the historical and scenic context.
The hotel rooms occupy the central part of the ancient villa, the barchesse (porticoes) and the two adjacent wings. The 79 elegant and refined rooms are divided into 58 Comfort Rooms, 4 Comfort Family Rooms, 16 Classic Junior Suites and 1 Prestige Suite. Every wide and spacious room has a sumptuous marble bathroom with bathtub and shower and enjoys a magnificent view over either the park, the swimming pool or the vineyard.
Restaurant La Vigna, with its intimate and refined atmosphere, is the ideal place to indulge in the specialties of the Venetian cuisine, that can be accompanied by our great selection of fine national and foreign wines. The summer terrace, facing the astonishing park, is the perfect setting for a business lunch, a romantic candlelight dinner or a private reception. Our chefs constantly come up with sophisticated menus with a genuine and typical local taste, mainly prepared with seasonal products to delight every palate with a gastronomic journey in the Venetian culinary tradition.

WHAT TO DO & WHAT TO SEE
If you think of Treviso, you cannot but think at two of the most iconic local products that in the last few years have gained a worldwide visibility: Prosecco DOC and red chicory of Treviso. Prosecco is mainly produced in the area between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene and it has a key role during many pleasant moments and celebrations, but also in the every-day life! The red chicory of Treviso is the classic tall Italian Radicchio. This delightful variety grows only in the area of Treviso and with its unique bitter but at the same time delicate taste and its long red and white striped leaves has now become a symbol of the city.
During the second half of the 16th century many Venetian aristocrat families decided to invest the great wealth accumulated in the trade with the Far East in the realization of great agricultural estates. Those stunning estates became later known as the Venetian Villas that had both the functions of residence and productive center, answering at the same time to aesthetic and functional requirements. One of the most beautiful is definitely Villa Barbaro, a masterpiece of Andrea Palladio, which is located just 20 mins away from our Hotel. You can also visit the birthplace of the famous sculptor Antonio Canova, again only few mins away from us!

The city's most famous residents, Romeo and Juliet, seemed to think so anyway. Only one hour and a half far away from Relais Monaco, Verona is definitely worth a visit!!!
Three cities come to mind as centers of industry and business: Padova, Treviso and Vicenza. They are fairly large towns, each with a province to its name, and Padova and Treviso were relatively important city states before falling under the domain of the Venetian Republic, in 1405 and 1339, respectively. In this three cities there are lots of things to do and see and plenty of history and beautiful sites to visit.
