CUT OFF TIMES Athletes have 15:40 hours to complete the race based on the individual start time. ACCUMULATED CUT OFF SWIM BIKE RUN 2h 20min 5h 40min (0 to 90km) 9h 10min (90 to 180km) 15h 40min Times are calculated based on the individual start time NOT on the gun shot time.

SWIM START ROLLING START IRONMAN Barcelona will be using a Rolling Swim Start. It will take approximately 30 minutes to get the entire field across the swim start line. Each athlete individual race time will start when they cross the swim start timing mat (under the swim start arch). The (on-shore) pre swim start area, will be self seeding based on an athletes predicted swim time for the 3,8 km course. Athletes will seed themselves into these zones based on predicted swim times.
ROLLING START PROCESS You MUST cross over the timing mat at swim start. Seed yourself in the chute according to your expected Swim Course time.
ROLLING START PROCESS Find the sign based on your TRULY expected result and seed yourself in the Rolling Start pen. NOTE: Swimming with athletes handling a similar pace will enhance your comfort and performance along the course.
SWIM EXIT Swim Exit must be reached following the Official Course. All athletes must cross over the timing mat at the Swim Exit. If you Do Not Start the race or you Drop Out before reaching the Swim Exit: Communicate immediately to Medical Staff, Official Staff or a Race Marshall (Referee) Failing to communicate will initiate an Emergency Rescue Search to be paid by the athlete.

PROTESTS & APPEALS After Finishing please check the results board in the recovery area. Penalties will be posted at the results board If you have questions, go to the Officials located in the recovery zone. (registration tent) A referee will be present from 16:00 until 01:00 to take protests/appeals. A referee will be present at the Awards Ceremony from 10:00-12:00 on Monday, Oct. 2 Protests/Appeals will NOT be accepted after 01:00 on race day (Oct. 2)
