Every Child is a Star! 2014-2015 Competitive Cheerleading Information Package WELCOME TO THUNDER ALL-STARS CHEERLEADING Here at Thunder All-Stars Cheerleading we anticipate a very successful 11 th season! We thank you for your interest in being a part of our cheer family. We would like to extend a warm welcome to all of our new members as well as thank our returning members. This is going to be the most exciting season thus far and we look forward to spending it with you. We strive to provide a safe and fun, elite training program while creating a positive and challenging atmosphere. We keep in mind the mental and physical well being of all of our athletes. By choosing Thunder All-Stars Cheerleading you are choosing a program that prides itself on our ability to provide each child with a training program that helps them reach and achieve their personal and team goals. In this information package you will find information on rules and regulations, tuition fees, competition dates, and so much more. At tryouts our coaches will be evaluating and placing athletes on teams based on their skill level, age, work ethic, maturity, and commitment. We have a team for all skill sets. NO experience is required.
Team Placement Information Team placement sessions are FREE. Any athlete that wishes to be on a competitive team for the 2014-2015 cheerleading season must attend a Team Placement session held at our gym. Athletes need to wear a t-shirt, shorts, indoor athletic shoes, and have their hair in a ponytail. You will bring a completed tryout form to the registration table and athletes will be placed in small groups. Athletes will be asked to demonstrate their jumps, tumbling skills, strength, co-ordination, and flexibility at the team placement sessions. Team placement sessions allow the coaching staff to have the opportunity to assess each athlete and ensure that athletes are placed on the appropriate team where they will be the most successful. Athletes ages 3-4 do not need to tryout. You do need to register at the front desk to reserve your spot on the Tiny Purple Hearts team. Athletes and parents will be notified by email and/or phone on Friday, May 30 th, 2014 about team placements. Team lists will be posted on the website that evening at 6:00pm. EVERYONE MAKES A TEAM!!! Parents/guardians MUST register their child(ren) at the front office between Saturday, May 31 st and Saturday, June 7 th, 2014 to secure team placement. * If you missed the team placement sessions and require a PRIVATE TRYOUT please contact the Program Director at jasmine.tessier@hotmail.com to arrange a tryout. Athletes who progress throughout the summer training months will have the opportunity to arrange for a private tryout with the Program Director in the attempt to advance to a higher level team at the end of August 2014.

Can you only commit to one day a week? Prep level teams are a great way to learn the fundamentals of cheerleading while still having the opportunity to compete!!! Prep level teams will train once per week (Sept-May) and they will compete at two competitions throughout the season. Athletes will wear the competitive shorts, t-shirt, and competition bow as a more affordable option for a uniform. COMPETITIVE TEAMS Our competitive cheerleading teams offer the full allstar experience! Combined with a great facility and excellent coaches we can provide cheerleaders with a unique experience. Competitive cheerleaders train 2-3 times per week and compete at 6-7 competitions throughout the season with some overnight competitions. Please ensure that you are committed both financially and in regards to time. Space is limited on each team.

With a full size cheer floor and dedicated staff on site we are sure to develop and build some of the best routines. The choreography camp is included in the membership fee. We will endeavor to provide a school bus for athletes or families who cannot provide their own transportation. DROP-IN TUMBLING: From September-May we will offer Drop-In Tumbling classes for each team (Mini or higher). There will be tumbling circuits and coaches on hand to provide instructional support and feedback to help each athlete progress and develop their tumbling skills. This is included in the monthly tuition! Athletes are still encouraged to take a tumbling class if they want to further develop and improve their current tumbling skills.

This competition schedule is subject to change if event producers change their dates and locations. We will provide families with the most up to date information if changes occur. Some competitions might incur additional fees if prices increase by the event producers and we will inform parents in advance of any additional fees.
