Being here for seven years, I am able to say that I have substantial knowledge of what academy life is like. When I think of the academy, I think of a family and a community which has a real sense of belonging. There is a determination to make the lives of students better and the teachers go above and beyond to make sure that everyone reaches their full potential. The support system for every student is exceptional, we celebrate success and someone is always there for you if things do not go in the right direction. What do the students say? I have attended Hamstead Hall since Year 7 and my experiences are ones which I will never forget. There has always been a great support system in place and all teachers undoubtedly provide as much help as possible. Throughout my time at Hamstead Hall I have been presented with so many wonderful opportunities and I am excited about what the future holds on this fantastic journey. Nichole Birmingham (current year 12 student) Hamstead Hall is a place where you get the chance to be yourself and to ask questions and not be judged. I could not imagine leaving Hamstead Hall to go to another sixth form. It does not take long to settle into a new environment as you are never made to feel out of place or like you do not belong. You naturally find your feet, there are no pretences here and you have the opportunity to build foundations that will lead to greater heights. Hannah Chander (current year 12 student) The Sixth Form Induction programme makes Hamstead Hall a very welcoming Sixth Form and prepares all students for the challenges ahead. I Joined Hamstead Hall in Year 12 from another school and the experiences I had are ones which I will never forget. The sixth form provides a welcoming and friendly environment where there are amazing opportunities to flourish both socially and academically. Both my tutor and Head of Year were always there for me and encouraged me to reach my full potential. I was fortunate enough to be a Student Ambassador, attended summer schools and university master classes which ensured a smooth transition from A-Levels to University. My two years at Hamstead Hall helped me develop skills and qualities such as confidence and team work. Teaching is of a high standard and help was always available both during and after school. I achieved an A* grade in Economics and Business, C grades in both Maths and Biology and I am now at Aston University studying Accounting. Mariyam Zia Class of 2016 (A*,C, C) 8
