Dear Friends and Colleagues, It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 1 st International Ring Symposium entitled Skin in Inflammation and Allergy on 9 December 2013 in the heart of the beautiful city of Munich, Germany. The Symposium is dedicated to Professor Johannes Ring, chair of the Department of Dermatology and Allergy at the Technische Universität München (TUM) since 1995, on the occasion of his approaching retirement. The purpose of this symposium is to cover major developments and cutting-edge aspects of clinical and basic science in dermatology, allergology and immunology to honor Professor Ring s lifetime achievements in these fields.
