We support good forestry practices and ongoing improvements in wood burning stoves and heaters that use firewood. Firewood serves an important role in Australia s domestic heating sector and is a cheap heating option for many families. As a renewable fuel source (provided firewood supplies are properly managed) it does not add to a net greenhouse gas release. International pressures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions suggest that firewood may have a much brighter future. When sustainably managed, firewood recycles carbon from the atmosphere. Firewood plantations can also serve other ecologically desirable functions including wastewater treatment, salination reduction, erosion control, wildlife habitat and aesthetics. C0 2 (From the Research Institute of Sustainable Energy Australia and other sources). Using firewood to heat your home is a more energy efficient and environmentally friendly alternative to an electric heating system that relies on power generated by a coal fuelled power station. Kalora proudly supports the activities of Landcare Australia through its membership of the AHHA.

Kalora Inbuilts The Kalora inbuilt wood heater range has been specifically designed for easy installation into existing fireplaces overcoming the inefficiencies associated with traditional open fires such as excessive fuel burn, uncontrollable heat levels and energy that is lost straight out of the chimney. Alternatively if you love the look of an inbuilt wood heater but do not have a fireplace, Kalora have the solution. Our double skinned zero clearance box enables the installation of our 500i and 600i into a timber framed wall with the need for only minimal clearances. Relax in the fan forced warmth of your home with the added convenience of overnight burning to eliminate those cold winter mornings. Kalora 500i Heats up to 180 square metres Incredibly low emissions 2.0g/kg Usable Firebox space 445mm x 305mm The Kalora 500i and 600i provide a safe and clean environment for your family by minimising the risk of rolling logs or flying embers associated with an open fire. Whether it be safety, convenience or efficiency the benefits of a Kalora inbuilt wood heater will add atmosphere and warmth to any home. Kalora 600i Heats up to 280 square metres Incredibly low emissions 2.3g/kg Usable Firebox space 545mm x 365mm
