Emergency Power Systems at Nuclear Power Plants Symposium April 11 12, 2013 in Munich, Germany TÜV SÜD Industrie Service GmbH TÜV SÜD Akademie GmbH
About the Symposium The German Federal Government attempts to ensure as of 2022 the energy supply without electrical power from nuclear power plants. But several countries continue to bank on nuclear technology in the field of energy production: many countries have plans to build new power reactors or new nuclear power plants are currently being constructed. Not least because of Fukushima, emergency power facilities with Diesel engines are regarded as more safety-relevant as 20 years ago. Therefore in some countries retrofit projects started to be realized, such as the AUTANOVE-Project in Beznau, or remotorisation- or retrofit-projects are at the planning stage. The objective of the Symposium is to Support the continuous improvement process for emergency power systems Increase familiarity with current trends and new approaches Reflect international experience with emergency power systems Pinpoint and discuss new challenges The Symposium is intended for specialists at Nuclear power plants and operating companies Power plant design companies Nuclear supervisory and licensing authorities Engine manufacturers Expert organizations Technical an academic institutions The Symposium is also aimed at professionals from industry, government agencies, and other institutions with similar responsibilities. Conference Chairman Anton Kollmer, TÜV SÜD Industrie Service GmbH, Munich
