Constitution of the Oneonta State Fashion Society State University College at Oneonta Article I Name: The official name of this club will be the Oneonta State Student Fashion Society. The Student Fashion Society is a Human Ecology curriculum club, funded by Student Association. Article II Objectives: A) The primary purpose of this society shall be to create a better understanding of any and all aspects of fashion. B) The secondary purpose of this society shall be to provide the students with an understanding and appreciation for the dynamic and multidimensional nature of the fashion business. Article III Membership: A) All full and part time student at State University of New York College at Oneonta who have paid their student activity fee shall be eligible for membership. B) The Student Fashion Society shall not discriminate against any potential member on the basis of sex, religion, race, age, sexual orientation, or disabilities. C) "The Student Fashion Society shall not discriminate against any mandatory student activity fee-paying member on any basis including but not limited to real or perceived age, race, sex, gender, identity/expression, sexual orientation, sexual history, religious orientation, physical or mental disability, veteran status, alienage, citizenship, marital or parental status, legally recognized domestic partnership status, national origin, ancestry, creed, political belief, arrest and/or conviction record, or any other criterion prohibited by federal, state, or local law," and further be it. Article IV Section I A) Executive Board Officers: President Vice President Secretary Treasurer B) Officers' Duties: President: Must have two previous semesters on the Executive Board before being able to be voted in as President.

a.) The President has the power to approve special committees, meetings, and events. b.) The President will bring all meetings to order and check the SFS mailbox in SA office regularly. Vice President: Must have held one position on the Executive Board before being able to be voted in as the Vice President. a) It is the responsibility of the Vice President to act as the President, adhering to the Presidential responsibilities, if the President is absent or unable to continue in his/her position. Secretary: Must have held one position on the Executive Board before being able to be voted in as Secretary. a) It is the responsibility of the Secretary to take attendance of club members and create a separate attendance for those designing in the fashion show. b) The Secretary must take meeting minutes at both the general club meetings and at the Executive Board meetings and to notify club updates to general members and the advisor(s). c) The Secretary must type all contracts, letters of correspondence to guest speakers, club handouts, and various other Student Fashion Society related memos presented to him/her to complete. d) The Secretary is to accept messages of correspondence from club members and to present any questions, concerns, or insights to the Executive Board members. e) During the course of the fashion show's planning it is the Secretary's responsibility to collect and file all materials related to each designer's scene such as sketches, models' names, scene name, etc. the Secretary must be able to present these materials to Executive Board members and advisors upon request. Treasurer: Must have held one position on the Executive Board before being able to be voted in as the Treasurer. a) The Treasurer shall be responsible for all financial reports, which will be due at the end of the semester to S. A. and advisement. b) The Treasurer must attend the general Student Association Financial meeting and adhere to all rules and regulations that the Student Association has set forth for the organization.

c) The Treasurer will also need to sign all vouchers and is responsible for keeping the budget up to date. d) The Treasurer is responsible for keeping track of the club's inventory, and fundraiser materials. e) The Treasurer must also check the Student Fashion Society mailbox in the Student Association office regularly. Section II Other Officers: A) Publicity Officers (3) 1. Activities Coordinator (1) 2. Promotions/Advertising (2) B.) Fashion Show Coordinators (2) 1. Set Designer (1) 2. Model/Designer Coordinator (1) B) Student Advisory Board Representatives 1. President and/or 2. Vice President Publicity Officers (3) 1. Activities/Events Coordinator (1): Responsible for organizing trips and special events: a.) Responsible for booking buses and anything related to trips outside of the college campus. b.) Responsible for contacting and receiving guest speakers. 2. Promotions/Advertising (2): a.) Responsible for all flyers, brochures, and advertising for Student Fashion Society club and Student Fashion Society Fashion Shows. Duties include: (SA club fair brochure, advertising for meetings, advertising for fashion shows - radio, flyers, posters, signs, banners etc.) b.) Responsible for raffles, ordering club t-shirts (sizes, price, design, color, and style) c.) Responsible for acquiring donations from town. Fashion Show Coordinators (2): 1. Set Designer (1): Organizes Set for Every Fashion Show and Special Events. c.) Responsible for decorations inside and outside of the show (stage, seating, entrance, VIP room, ect.) d.) Responsible for the contacting and booking the DJ, Audio Production, Photographer, and location in which show will take place.

2. Model/Designer Coordinator (1): a.) Responsible for organizing the order of the show INCLUDES: Designer order, Speakers, and program for the SFS fashion Show. b.) Responsible for booking and setting up dressing rooms (Mirrors, drapes, etc.) c.) Responsible for working with each designer on their model walks. Article V: Elections: a) Voting Method shall be through a private ballot system. Active members and current Executive Board members shall have the right to vote. b) An active member must attend general body meetings as well as being actively involved in a committee. c) During the voting process active members are only allowed to vote once for one particular candidate for each individual Executive Board position. d) If a tie occurs, Executive Board members will vote a second time to break the tie. e) A quorum shall consist of 2/3 of the society's active membership. f) No fall graduate or fall transfer student may run for an executive board officer position stated in Article IV. g) The elections for the following positions with the exemption of the President and Vice President shall require a majority vote of the organization to acquire a position. h) Elections for President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer will be held separately before the Voting. All candidates for the aforesaid positions must meet the requirements stated in section B of Article IV. *In the event that not enough of the E-Board members are continuing attendance at the State University of New York College at Oneonta, ONLY the Head of Committee's may run for the following positions if available: -President -Vice President -Secretary -Treasurer i) Elections will be held at the end of each semester for next semester's E-Board. Article VI: Advisor: An advisor will be selected by the Executive Board members and presented to the club members.the advisor will be accepted by a majority vote. All vouchers shall be co-signed by the advisor. The advisor shall be made aware of all club activity. Further concerns corresponding to the club's advisement may be found in the Student Association's Policy Handbook. The advisor capacity shall not hold voting privileges.

Article VII: Article VIII: Article IX: Article X: Article XI: The Student Fashion Society shall not discriminate against any potential member on the basis of sex, religion, race, age, sexual orientation, or abilities. Impeachment: If any Executive Board member is not performing his/her duties, he/she can be removed or recalled by a 2/3 majority vote of all active members and E-Board. Upon dissolution of this organization, any and all unused funds must be returned to the Student Association to be used at their discretion. Amendments: a) All amendments to the constitution must be presented to the executive board one meeting before it is introduced to the organization. b) All amendments to the constitution must be approved by a 2/3 majority vote before being presented to Student Association. Club Meetings: a) E-Board meetings and General Body meetings are held every week. b) There will be one Student Fashion Society fashion show per year to take place during the Spring Semesters. c) In the event of special functions, a meeting can be called if necessary. d) Executive Board members must hold activity(s) during the fall semester. 1 Community Service Event(s) 2 Fundraiser(s) 3 Semi-formal 4 Guest Speaker(s) e) Committee Meetings for event/fashion show.
