Pag. 2 di 10 FIRST STEPS ON VT-BAG vt-bag first screen offers the list of modules and is empty at the first start. To retrieve the modules list you should perform two actions: 1) Login. 2) Synchronization with the server. Login 1) Tap on Settings button. 2) Fill username, access key and server URL. Note: User access key and password are not the same information. If you have problems to retrieve access key, please refer to the final section Retrieve your Access Key of this guide. 3) Tap on Save button to save your settings. The application will request to confirm your changes, because this operation will remove all previous data.
Pag. 3 di 10 4) It is recommended to test connection settings, in order to be able to correct any problems (wrong credentials, lack of connection, etc) before starting data synchronization. Account information can also be displayed from your device general settings.
Pag. 4 di 10 Server Synchronization 5) Tap the Refresh button in the lower right corner. 6) If the module configuration has been changed by any admin user of vtiger vt-bag will require a confirmation before continue and all previous preferences will be lost. 7) Synchronization could require several minutes (based on how much data you have in vtiger). The application can download data in background. If a change in the data structure is detected a notification will be shown. At the end of synchronization vt-bag will be ready for use.
Pag. 5 di 10 VT-BAG FEATURES Modules Organization 1) Press the Organize button in the lower left corner. 2) You can change module list order by dragging a module handle to the desired location. 3) Tap on Done button to confirm.
Pag. 6 di 10 Fields to display in entity list 1) Select the module to display. 2) Press the Choose fields button, in the lower left corner. 3) Select fields you want to show. 4) If you want, you can also organize the fields order dragging their handles. 5) To confirm changes, tap outside the popover on ipad, or press Back button on iphone.
Pag. 7 di 10 Entity Detail 1) Selecting an item from an entity list, vt-bag will display the entity detail. Fields are grouped in vtiger blocks; each block can be expanded or collapsed by tapping on it. 2) Selecting an association field (a field that relate two vtiger entities, for example a contact field related to an organization) vt-bag will show the other entity detail. Association fields are marked with an arrow.
Pag. 8 di 10 Navigation between related entities 1) Choose the module to display. 2) Select the entity to display. 3) Tap on the button Related List in the lower left corner. 4) Choose the related module you want to display. The list will only show modules having at least an entity related. 5) Tap on OK. 6) You can choose the fields to display as any other list of entities (see section Fields to display in entity list).
Pag. 9 di 10 Integration with other Apps You can interact with following applications: Phone App: phone number fields are tagged with a green phone icon Email App: email fields are tagged with a yellow envelope icon Map App: use fields grouped in a block called Address Information Selecting one of these fields the related app will be opened and vt-bag will be hidden (but not closed).
Pag. 10 di 10 HOW TO RETRIEVE YOUR ACCESS KEY To retrieve your access key, you must login in vtiger and choose My Preferences (steps 1 and 2). Go to the section User Advanced Options and copy the value of the Access Key (steps 3 and 4).
