The performance is designed to be performed in a wide variety of venues, from blackbox to proscenium theatres. The performance is meant to be performed indoors only, where total blackout is required. For outdoor venues please contact Republique s producer. STAGE REQUIRMENTS For venues with a proscenium, the opening must be min. 12 m wide and 7 m high Min. depth of stage: 12 m Min. width of stage: 15 m Min. distance between floor and fly bars/grid: 6,80 m Stage flying: We have tw o different types of stage flying, both with a minimum height to fly point of 8 m. System A fly rail: To be rigged to truss hung with a min. distance between floor and fly truss of 5-7 m. System B single fly point: Needs 2 fly points positioned with a min. distance between floor and fly points of 8 m See section about stage flying for more details. Black wooden floor that can be screwed into. Full black masking is required. Please note that the masking needs to be tight and neat.

3 The floor must be able to withstand a pressure of 410 kg/m² in an area of 6,8 m by 1,15 m (7,8 m²/3.200 kg.) If the floor can t withstand the weight of the wall, extra bracing/support of the floor will be required at the responsibility of the venue. See section about stage for more details. STAGE The show s performance area is 10 m. wide and 11 m. deep. And additional 3,0 m. space is required in the wings on each side for sidelights, props and other technical equipment. The set consists of the following elements: WALL The main set element is a large hydraulic wall (H: 5 m, W: 8 m, D: 3 m). The wall consists of an upright/vertical wall-piece that can move slightly back, and forward all the way down to the ground. The wallpiece (400 kg) is mounted on a ballast standing on the stage floor. The wall and ballast weighs approx. 3.200 kg. and has a footprint of approx. 7,8 m², whereupon the weight is distributed - which gives a max. load of 410 kg./m². The moving wall is operated by a hydraulic engine, which requires 400 V/32 A. The engine is placed in a in a soundproof box. The engine/box should be placed backstage stage left. For safety reasons the wall must only be operated by a company technician. CURTAINS/DRAPES Front curtain (adjustable height between 5 m and 7 m, W: 12 m) to be hung on a fly bar/truss or directly on grid. Rail with 12 vertical elastic ropes (adjustable height between 5 m and 7 m, W: 12 m) to be hung on backside on truss for fly system A. Silk drape/kabuki (adjustable height between 5 m and 7 m, W: 12 m) to be hung on a fly bar/truss or directly on grid. PVC/cyclorama (adjustable height between 5 m and 7 m, W: 10 m) to be hung on a fly bar/truss or directly on grid SNOW 2 snow machines are placed in downstage left and right approximately 5-6 m above the floor. The snow is small feathers/downs. The machines are operated from the light control board/foh. All set elements Full black masking of the stage area including 5 borders and 10 side legs, 5 on each side.

4 Upright lift with 8 m working height. 2 ladders 4,5 m tall. Electrical power for: - 400 V for the hydraulic engine, 1x3x32A CEE - 230 V power on stage for tools and work light. If possible; access to the venues workshops and tools for the entire period the production is in the house. See the attached document A for stage plots. STAGE FLYING In the show there are five scenes with stage flying with actors on two separate systems. System A fly rail (dynamic load) For the fly rail we need a fixed fly bar or truss with a minimum breaking strength of 3.500 kg. This includes a safety factor of 10. (The safety factor and consequent min. breaking strength is based on Danish work safety regulations). With system A two people are flown at the same time. Once truss provided for system A is rigged and fly rail is mounted it must be completely fixed. System A is operated by the company s rigger in the wing opposite the fly rail stage left. System B the single fly point (dynamic load.) For system B, the venue must provide two fly points. One point for the actor positioned center stage 0,5 m in front of the wall, and one for the company s rigger positioned opposite in the wings stage right. The company s rigger controls the actors flying with his own weight counter weighted flying (see picture). The minimum breaking strength of both fly points must be 1.000 kg. This includes a safety factor of 10. (The safety factor and consequent min. breaking strength is based on Danish work safety regulations).
