ERASMUS+ YOUTH EXCHANGE SHARING COMMON VALUES 2 9 OCTOBER 2015 NORCEN (BELLUNO), ITALY ABOUT US Comitato d'intesa was created in 1977 from the initiative of 9 organizations that are still working for the social problems of the provincial area. Now it gathers 171 associations operating in many different sector such as: youth policy, sustainable development, social solidarity, assistance of persons with special needs and to support an healthy way of life. In order to organize better its activities and to permit a real exchange of information and experiences between all associations, Comitato d'intesa's program is divided into the following 7 thematic : youth, environment, health, disability, elderly, assistance, specific disease. The main reason for setting up this coordination body were the following: to promote information, cooperation and exchange of resources; to have an unique reference point for all actions in the health, environmental and social fields; to fight more effectively against the segregation of disadvantaged and social excluded people; to improve the communication among the participating associations; to coordinate contacts with the public bodies, so as to promote dialogue and consensus around the most effective solutions to the local problems; to enforce new services and help communities, based on innovative projects. The current plan of actions includes the following objectives: promoting youth policy; promoting and supporting school integration; promoting and support sustainable development policy; supporting youth entrepreneurship to create employment opportunities; promoting campaigns for young people on any kind of social exclusion (disability, alcoholism, drug, dependence, etc.); promoting the rights of disadvantaged people;
increasing the quality of life of any person with special needs; promoting and inspecting the quality of public rehabilitation, assistance and support. ABOUT THE PROJECT The youth exchange Sharing common values will take place near Feltre (Italy), a beautiful Renaissance city, next October 2015. The main exchange goals are to share best practices and experiences of all the european voluntary associations involved and identify a common value system. Eight days of activities will give to the participants coming from different countries - time and tools for reach this main goal, despite their cultural differences. For this purpose we are going to organize participatory workshops based on no formal learning, experiencing the specific methodologies of brainstorming and World Cafè, as suitable techniques to identify together volunteering common values. Moreover to ensure an effective communication we are going to use artistic methodologies as vehicles for social communication: we will realize four specific artistic workshops (video making and video editing, flash mob, theatre, video telling), useful to share to the civil society volunteering common values. Further to specifically encourage a project dissemination, we are going to perform a city flash mob, a theatrical event and a specific explicative video; participants will be themselves spokesmen of a common message, becoming volunteer peer mentors. The video produced will be spread by each project partner on its web site and social network, after the exchange. MAIN OBJECTIVES promote volunteering as an expression of active citizenship and solidarity; empower youth to take an active role in local communities; raise awareness of the value and importance of volunteering; create space for dialogue and intercultural learning moments among the participants from several European countries; share good practices and experiences; build an european volunteering vision, based on common values. The project will be implemented with the support of local partners: Municipality of Feltre; Municipality of Pedavena; Informagiovani Belluno (Youth office of Belluno); Provincia di Belluno; Scuole in Rete per un mondo di solidarietà e pace (Network of schools); Consulte giovani provinciali (Youth associations of Provincia di Belluno) ACCOMODATION Location: Feltre The training course will take place in Feltre, a little Renaissance city in the Dolomintes mountains region. Feltre is about 100km far form Venice, the capital of the Veneto region. Feltre is full of history with its walls, buildings and architecture from the middle ages and the Renaissance, with some interesting cultural places such as Sena s theatre and piazza Maggiore. Venue: Norcen, Colonia Alpina San Marco Participants will stay in the Colonia Alpina San Marco hotel, about 5km far form Feltre in a place called Norcen. 3 or 4 participants of the same sex will stay in the same room.
