She has 20 years of experience as an Athletic Trainer for colleges and high schools, 10 years of experience as a PTA, and 14 years of experience personal training at the MAC. When not training clients, Sandy competes in athletic events around the country. She is a four-time qualifier for the Boston Marathon and regularly competes in USA Track and Field Master s National events. Sandy s background brings unique skills specializing in injury rehabilitation, pre and post-surgery exercises and functional activities for daily living (ADL) designed for older and special populations.
Garrett Van Auken Garrett Van Auken NSCA-CSCS Personal Trainer/Health & Fitness Coordinator 414.274.0628 gvanauken@macwi.org Garrett holds both a BS in Kinesiology from UW-Madison and an MS in Human Kinetics from the UW Milwaukee. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA and is also an ACE certified personal trainer. Garrett has been helping clients achieve fitness goals since 2003. His experiences include an internship as Assistant to the Strength and Conditioning Coordinator for the Milwaukee Brewers, Group Exercise Leader at UW Health Sports Medicine Fitness Center, and Recreational Sports Supervisor for the UW Intramural Department.
