Spanish Language and Culture 2013-2014 Brief Description of Course Course Name: AP Spanish Language Grade Level: 11 and 12 grades Prerequisite: Spanish 3 with a B or better Teacher recommendation Credit: World Language or Elective Duration: One year (two semesters) The AP Spanish Language course covers the equivalent of a third-year college course in advanced Spanish writing and conversation. It includes oral skills, reading comprehension, grammar and composition. The students taking this course have the following objectives: the ability to compose expository passages and the ability to express ideas orally with accuracy and fluency. The course aims to develop language skills that can be use and applied to different activities and disciplines.
