1. Turning on the main power Press the circle button on the lower right of the display. - Erasing text(s) and object(s) with eraser The attached eraser enables users to erase text(s) and object(s) like a blackboard eraser. Eraser *Check whether the connected PC is turned on. Or touch eraser icon ( ) on the toolbar and the part you want to erase to erase text(s) and object(s). 2. Using the pen software Double click Pen software icon ( ) on the desktop. - Enlarging, reducing, or rotating the written texts and/or images 3. Writing something on the whiteboard with Pen Software (1) Choose a pen. Touch icon of the color you want to use once. (In this chart, we choose a red pen.) (2) Touch and Draw on the board. pen Touch select icon ( ) on the toolbar. Touch the object you want to change. (As an example of texts, choose here. When enlarging/ reducing an object: Drag the white circle to the direction you want to enlarge/ reduce to enlarge/ reduce the object. - When you want to change the color and thickness of the pen: Touch pen icon ( ) twice. - When rotating an object: Touching the yellow circle enables users to rotate the object. The palette in the left chart appears. Then choose the color and thickness you want to use. (The chart shows that red pen of which thickness is middle is selected.) - When moving an object: - When undoing/ redoing operation: The object is circled with after touching the object. Please drag the object with touching the inside of to move the object. Undo button cancels the preceding drawing or editing operation. Redo button repeats the operation canceled with the Undo button. 4. Enlarging/ Reducing whiteboard display Enlarge/ Reduce the screen with pan window. Touch (-) or (+) enables users to change the display ratio. It is possible to enlarge/ reduce the view with Zoom dual touch*. * With fingers of both hands touched on the screen, expand the space at an angle. 8. Saving the data Touch the Save icon ( ). The following save screen appears. Select the file type and enter the file name to save it. 5. Going to the next new page Touch Pan icon ( ) and the screen. Users can slide the sheet to the right or left side. Drag to the right to show the previous sheet. Drag to the left to show the next sheet. (Supported on Windows 7 only) It is possible to drag horizontally with two fingers (dual touch). By touching the file name, the small keyboard screen appears. When touching the small keyboard, the big keyboard appears. Users can change the texts easily. (Supported on Windows 7 only) Enter file name Select sws 6. Displaying the sheet list of the whiteboard Touch the SHEET LIST to display the 8 sheets on the lower side of the screen. When touching the one of 8 sheets, go to the touched pages. The following icons are useful. Add/ Remove sheet 9. Quitting the Pen Software Copy sheet Move sheet Touch the Quit icon ( ). Quit the pen software. 7. Printing data (current page) Touch Print icon ( ). When whiteboard has some changes, the message whether users want to save or not appears. Are you sure you want to print the sheet(s)? appears and click OK. * When users print data, set the printer in advance. 10. Opening the saved data [Method 1] Select a file directly. When users want to use the whiteboard data created before, double click the saved file name (sws) directly. They can open the file, edit it and add new contents. 13. Pasting an image on the whiteboard Display the screen which users want to paste on the whiteboard (Example: PowerPoint, Excel sheet, PDF) [Method 2] Open the file from Pen Software. Touch Open icon ( of the whiteboard. ) in the toolbar Choose print -> Printer -> Send print data to SHARP Pen Software. Choose a file you want to open. 11. Deleting the data. Touch Delete icon ( ). The selected screen appears and choose one of the options. The icon is blinking. The icon is blinking and touch Import Images icon ( ). Users can paste an image data to the whiteboard. * When they can t paste the data, check the Send print data to SHARP Pen Software setting. 12. Minimizing the pen software. (When users want to use the application except for the pen software.) Touch minimize icon ( minimize the pen software. - Toolbar function buttons Toolbar - Changing the color and thickness of the pen. Move toolbar icon to the left side. Open Help Save 1. Touch the pen button users want to set twice. Touch one of colors from black, red, blue, green, yellow, or white. Touch Setting button to set a different color from default five colors. Then, touch the Color. Select Pan Touch here to check all the sheets. Pan window The software is minimized in the task tray. The displayed sheet is enlarged/ reduced. Press + button to enlarge the image. Press - button to reduce the image. Quit 3. Select a color. 4. Decide the thickness and click OK. Add a new sheet to the right of the selected sheet Delete the selected sheet Copy the selected sheet Move to the previous sheet 5. The color and thickness of pen is changed to the specified one. New Functions (Ver.2.3.2.1) - Floating toolbar function The toolbar can be moved freely on the screen - Toolbar customization function Toolbar can be customized in the way you want 2. Click settings to display toolbar customization section and click Customize toolbar then select Floating from the styles. 2. - Expanded sheet preview function Add new preview function that multiple pages can be displayed on the screen as thumbnails. Pages displayed on the screen enables convenient editing such as adding, deleting, copying and moving pages. - Combine current file (.sws) and other file (.sws) Add saved SHARP pen software file (.sws) to current file (.sws). 2. New Functions (Ver.2.4.2.5) - Sprit screen (Whiteboard + application) function Able to shift full screen and half screen mode in whiteboard mode. - Insert image files function Once you saved icons or images often used for the whiteboard, you can insert them instantly. - Screen capture function 2. Select screen capture 2. Select insert a image file 3. Select whole screen capture or capture selection 4. When you select capture selection, select specific area. 3. Select file 4. Selected image will be inserted to the sheet. 5. Check the captured image and click paste to this sheet 6. Image will be pasted to the current sheet Some images are stored in the folder below. \Program Files\SHARP\SHARP Pen Software\Icon Usable file format: BMP/ JPEG/ PNG When you select whole screen capture, the image will be whole screen image. - Drawing Shapes function/ Drawing straight lines or arrows function Shapes, lines and arrow lines can be inserted. - Drawing a shape with the figure pen function Circles, squares, triangles, and lines drawn by hand are formed to clear objects with the function. 1. In case of inserting shapes, touch Drawing Object icon. 2. Touch the icon twice and below menu appears to select shapes. 1. Touch Figure Pen icon 2. Draw shapes or lines *A shape used last time is inserted by touching the icon once. 3. To insert shapes, specify the position and size. 4. In case to insert lines and arrow lines, touch Line / Arrow icon. 3. Shapes and lines drawn by hand are formed to clear objects. 4. After changing to clear objects, the settings of shapes and lines such as color are changeable. 5. To set the property, Double touch the icon. 6. Even after inserting, the settings such as color of shapes and lines / arrow lines can be changed. Touch and select Property [Changeable settings] - Fill color - Semi - translucent / Non-translucent - Line color Line width - Type of lines(solid line, dotted lines) [Following shapes can be formed] Circles, squares, triangles, and lines *Arrow lines are not formed. - Linking to Microsoft Power Point function The presentation support tool can support your presentation. When the slideshow display of Microsoft PowerPoint is detected, a control toolbar that makes it easy to operate the Microsoft PowerPoint slideshow and Pen Software appears automatically. Show the previous slide. 2. Show the next slide. 3. Change to arrow (select) mode. 4. Change to pen mode. - The pen color can be changed in Set Up Slide Show in Microsoft PowerPoint - The pen thickness cannot be changed. 5. Change to eraser mode. 6. Start the pen software whiteboard. When the whiteboard is running, the icon ( ) that appears on the Whiteboard can be clicked to return to the slideshow. 7. End the displayed slideshow and close the control toolbar. If draw screen is performed in pen mode, a confirmation screen asking Do you want to keep your ink annotations? will appear. Sharp Corporation (10/10)
