MY PAPER PRODUCTS STREAM Newspaper, Flyers & Catalogues Mixed Paper, Junk Mail, Office Paper, Envelopes & Books All paper flyers are recyclable (even glossy) Include telephone books, catalogues, etc. Stack them together or tie in bundles Junk mail, greeting cards, office paper, etc. Books are acceptable! Keep hard & soft covers on for recycling Envelopes with windows are acceptable Do not exceed 45 lbs. No plastic newspaper bags No tissues or paper towels No photos/waxed paper No plastic shopping bags Milk Cartons, Juice Cartons, TetraPaks & Juice Boxes Include all polycoated containers (milk cartons, soup and juice boxes, etc.) Keep all plastic lids on Flatten to make more space in Blue Box No food soiled cartons No elastic bands Boxboard Cereal boxes, cracker boxes, tissue boxes, pasta boxes, etc. Remove inside bags/liners No tissues or paper towels Corrugated Cardboard / Boxes Flatten, bundle and tie cardboard no larger than 100cm x 100cm x 20cm No wax coated boxes Tie together with string Textiles / Fabric Old t-shirts, socks, towels, etc. Secure in a clear, transparent bag Tie a piece of fabric to top of bag Remove buttons Remove zippers 3 2

Waste Management in Lake of Bays Residents in the Township of Lake of Bays do not receive curbside collection. Material must be delivered to any landfill or local transfer station for proper disposal. Upon entering any of the Lake of Bays Transfer Stations, please report to the site guard before proceeding into the site. The guard will explain site usage related to the load you are delivering and direct you to the appropriate areas to ensure material is disposed of properly. ACCEPTED AT NO CHARGE Three (3) Bags of Household Garbage (per week) Sorted Recycling Flattened Cardboard Tagged Appliances (Freon Removed) Scrap Metal Empty BBQ Propane Tanks (20lbs) Electronic Waste (Accepted at Franklin Site Only) Residential Yard Waste Tires (No Rims) Christmas Trees SUBJECT TO DISPOSAL FEE More than Three (3) Bags of Household Garbage Construction Material / Waste Untagged Appliances (Freon Units) Commercial / Industrial Waste Tires on Rims Household Furniture VISA, MasterCard, Cash and Debit are accepted for chargeable material. All loads arriving at facilities are subject to inspection for prohibited or contaminated waste and approved standards of the District of Muskoka. Lake of Bays Transfer Stations are limited to 10 cubic yards of waste per customer, per week.

ELECTRONIC WASTE Electronic Waste (E-Waste) needs care and should not be placed into your garbage bag. Computers & Accessories, Televisions, A/V Equipment!! Unwanted electronics should never end up in your garbage bag. Most of the parts steel, glass, copper, aluminum, plastics and many precious metals, can be recovered and made into new products. Environmental Handling Fees (EHF) are charged on the sale and distribution of new electronics regulated in Ontario. The fee reflects the cost to collect, transport and responsibly recycle each electronic at the end of its useful life. Be sure to remove the batteries before disposal! NO CHARGE DROP-OFF Residential Material Only Microwaves and Small Metal Appliances: Microwaves and other metal based small appliances (toasters, kettles, etc.) are not considered hazardous by Ministry of Environment regulations, and should be disposed of as scrap metal at any landfill or transfer station.
