6. Creating your Unique Student Identifier (USI) The Unique Student Identifier (USI) is an initiative by the Australian Government to create a secure online record of all of your nationally recognised training that you can access anytime and anywhere. The USI is linked to the National Vocational Education and Training (VET) Data Collection, and this means you nationally recognised training and qualifications gained anywhere in Australia, from different training organisations, will be kept all together. All students studying CIII & CIV with us need to have a USI before we can issue any certificate. Creating a USI is free and the following steps will guide you on how to do this and submit it with us. Go to www.usi.gov.au/create-your-usi and follow the steps online. Once you have received your USI via email, log in to your Learner Portal. On your Dashboard, Underneath the Welcome message, you will find a field for you to enter your USI. Once you click Save your USI is submitted. The Moodle Platform is a responsive and interactive environment so take the time to navigate around the site and learn its functions.
