A320 Fixed Base Simulator Interior AB-INITIO COURSES MULTI-CREW LICENCE The anticipated rapid growth in global air travel and the increasing need to improve safety in modern automated aircraft motivated the International Civil Aviation Organisation to recommend a new methodology for training pilots in a multi-crew environment using specific airline oriented procedures, culminating in a specific MPL. It is essentially the first airline-dedicated professional pilot licence. The course is a competency-based programme that aims to guide cadet pilots seamlessly from ab-initio training to airliner type rating using flight simulators designed for multi-crew training. At ST Aerospace, cadet pilots have the opportunity to train in our EASA certified A320 Full Flight Simulator where they are able to maximise their learning time in the aircraft that they will eventually work in. By incorporating airline specific Standard Operating Procedures and integrating Threat and Error Management and Crew Resource Management in all phases of training, it delivers a training experience that is highly efficient and effective, and deeply relevant to airline operations. ST Aerospace was the first in the industry to develop and launch the MPL programme in Singapore, in partnership with Tigerair Singapore and with support from CAAS. The programme s first graduates have been flying with Tigerair Singapore since 2011. We also developed the MPL programme for Qatar Airways with support from the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority. The first batches of Qatar Airways MPL graduates completed the programme in 2015 and are now based in Doha, flying for the airline while subsequent cohorts are currently in training.
