Overview Modulo s Short Message () is a carrier-class high-performance SMS Center for GSM/UMTS networks with features for MNOs, MVNOs, and Fixed Line Operators. Modulo s offers intelligent handling of SMS traffic in 3G GSM/UMTS networks. It is a fully scalable, software-based, cloud-ready network element. This means that our allows for simple and cost-effective deployment as well as fast and easy dynamic scaling. Another important advantage of our : It supports virtualization, as it is a software-based solution. It can run on any standard linux system and on any standard server hardware, or it can also run on a cloud server. FOR MOBILE NETWORK OPERATORS Due to the growing abundance of unlimited data plans, OTT communication apps have caused revenue from SMS services to continuously decline. However, it remains a basic service every MNO has to offer. Modulo s is a full-featured yet cost-effective solution for handling SMS traffic on the mobile network. It is dynamically scalable, allowing easy deployment adjustments according to changes in SMS traffic in the network. AN IDEAL CHOICE FOR MVNOs For small MVNOs who wish to have their own and not depend on backing MNOs for SMS services, Modulo s is the perfect choice. It allows virtual network operators with a relatively small subscriber base to set up their own while only incurring affordable entry-level costs. Our can be initially installed on one machine to support a small scale of up to several tens of thousands of subscribers, and it is easily scalable for handling a larger amount of subscribers in the future. FIXED LINE Our includes a Gateway Home Location Register (GHLR), which provides fixed line networks the ability to send and receive SMS messages. The GHLR also includes SMS Home Routing capabilities for handling inbound SMS traffic, directing it to an SMS router that can act as a firewall and perform actions like copying and forwarding of messages, sending automatic replies, and more. This allows fixed line operators to create revenue from SMS services even though they are not mobile operators and do not handle SMS-capable handsets.

Features of the Modulo Our provides CDRs and supports a variety of useful features, such as Store and Forward, retry plans, Binary SMS (e.g. for device configurations), concatinated SMS, Service statistics log and alarm logging with SNMP support. It also supports Multi-Language Encoding for text messages (GSM 7 bit, UNICODE, UTF-8 and UCS2). The module consists of a software only solution deployed on a general purpose server with a standard operating system. When deployed using SIGTRAN as the interface to the network, it can be deployed in a virtual machine environment. When deployed with TDM interface, it can be deployed using PCIe E1 adapters. Using PCIe E1 adapters, it will require a physical host but it can be deployed using external signalling servers. This way it can remain deployed on a virtual machine and communicate with the signaling servers through TCP/IP. It has a distributed scalable architechture and it supports multiple redundancy schemes (Active/Active, Active/Standby, 1+1, n+1 ) with load balancing. The can connect using either TDM or IP (SIGTRAN). Support of SIGTRAN allows easy deployment across the next generation mobile networks. Flexible delivery scenario management, policy management, convenient licensing principles and a powerful SMS routing subsystem make Modulo's a perfect choice for any Mobile Operator s needs. Routing and bandwidth configuration tools support a fully-functional SMPP interface with an HTTP API that enables interaction with external applications. Horizontal scaling architecture allows to achieve high reliability and to adjust performance as network grows. DATABASE-LESS SOLUTION Databases are an expensive thing. Licenses for database software are expensive on their own, especially with the cost of support services. Databases require maintenance, with increasing costs when they need to grow. As opposed to many other s out there, our solution does not require a database (though it can work with databases if necessary). Modulo has created an that is not only more robust and more easily scalable than traditional database-based s, but is also cost-effective and cost-saving thanks to the fact that it does not require a database to function as a full-featured.

EXTENSIONS VIA AN HTTP API Our has an easy-to-use HTTP API, which provides unlimited flexibility in regards to developing additional services based on the. This enables any web developer to create specialized SMS-based services for the Mobile Operator, such as: Blacklist blocking SMS traffic from specified sources Filter/Firewall Protecting subscribers from SMS spamming Web Integration Sending SMS messages from a website Number portability And more The possibilities are endless! FOR BUSINESS Our provides mobile operators with the ability to offer value-added services in the field of enterprise connectivity with SMPP, such as: Dynamic switchover of traffic on the availability of SMPP connections to Administrator controlled access for ESME to a connection Routing rules management on the basis of destination address Routing rules management per SMPP client Delivery reports for submitted SMS. WAP Push Bulk SMS by HTTP/SMPP And more Organizations can use our for SMS Marketing: to promote sales, conduct polls, advertise events, and much more.
