Submitting Papers to IEEE PES Transactions 27

28 Submitting Papers to IEEE PES Transactions Use IEEE Transactions Template: http://www.ieee.org/publications_standards/publications/authors/author_templates.html Prepare your manuscript according to the IEEE PES Author s Kit: http://www.ieee-pes.org/publications/information-for-authors

29 IEEE PES Transactions Reviewer and Editor Guidelines http://www.ieee-pes.org/part-8-reviewer-and-editor-guidelines Papers of archival value should: Present new methods of analysis or experimentation. Present a new process, design, or technology. Discuss and provide fresh thoughts on the effects of evolving public and environmental policies on the technologies we address and operate. Be written in clear and understandable language. Be of interest to the reader of our journals. Be of long-term value for the profession because of the above attributes. Timeliness The journals of the Power & Energy Society have adopted a goal of 90% of paper decisions within 90 days of submission. This does not appear unreasonable as PES uses a web based system that allows papers submitted to be in the hands of reviewers within only a few days of actual submission.

30 IEEE PES Transactions Read IEEE Publications and all other accessible journal and conference papers in your field and specific topic to establish the state of the art. Position your work within any related prior literature. Clearly explain and demonstrate your contribution, novelty and advancements with respect to the state of the art. Choose appropriate journal that best fits your work. Thank You!
